God's promise...!

Genesis 28:13-15 NKJV

And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: “I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

******
† Shalom †......! Day #212. Do you know that the Lord will not leave you nor forsaken until everything He has promised and spoken to you is accomplished? Let us pray. Father, we pray that Your grace and Your mercy shall last for a lifetime for You are faithful and Your love endures forever. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, Jacob's conduct hitherto, as recorded, was not that of one who simply feared and trusted in God. But now in trouble, obliged to flee, he looked only to God to make him to dwell in safety, and he could lie down and sleep in the open air with his head upon a stone. Any true believer would be willing to take up with Jacob's pillow, provided he might have Jacob's vision. God's time to visit his people with his comforts, is, when they are most destitute of other comforts, and other comforters. Jacob saw a ladder which reached from earth to heaven, the angels going up and coming down, and God himself at the head of it. This represents,

1. The providence of God, by which there is a constant intercourse kept up between heaven and earth. This let Jacob know that he had both a good guide and a good guard.

2. The mediation of Christ. He is this ladder; the foot on earth in his human nature, the top in heaven in his Divine nature. Christ is the Way; all God's favours come to us, and all our services go to him, by Christ, John 1:51.

By this way, sinners draw near to the throne of grace with acceptance. By faith we perceive this way, and in prayer we approach by it. In answer to prayer we receive all needful blessings of providence and grace. We have no way of getting to heaven but by Christ. And when the soul, by faith, can see these things, then every place will become pleasant, and every prospect joyful. He will never leave us, until his last promise is accomplished in our everlasting happiness. God now spake comfortably to Jacob. He spake from the head of the ladder. All the glad tidings we receive from heaven come through Jesus Christ. The Messiah should come from Jacob. Christ is the great blessing of the world. All that are blessed, are blessed in him, and none of any family are shut out from blessedness in him, but those that shut out themselves. Jacob had to fear danger from his brother Esau; but God promises to keep him. He had a long journey before him; to an unknown country; but, Behold, I am with thee, and God promises to bring him back again to this land. He seemed to be forsaken of all his friends; but God gives him this assurance, I will not leave thee. Whom God loves, he never leaves.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

A trustworthy servant...!

Genesis 24:12-14 NKJV

Then he said, “O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham. Behold, here  I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water. Now let it be that the young woman to whom I say, ‘Please let down your pitcher that I may drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink’— let her be  the  one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. And by this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master.”

******
† Shalom †......! Day #211. Do you know that you are a person who has the capability to change the history, to create a history? Let us pray. Father,  we pray that You would raise up a generation of history makers that would create history in this generation.  In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, Abraham's servant devoutly acknowledged God. We have leave to be particular in recommending our affairs to the care of Divine providence. He proposes a sign, not that he intended to proceed no further, if not gratified in it; but it is a prayer that God would provide a good wife for his young master; and that was a good prayer. She should be simple, industrious, humble, cheerful, serviceable, and hospitable. Whatever may be the fashion, common sense, as well as piety, tells us, these are the proper qualifications for a wife and mother; for one who is to be a companion to her husband, the manager of domestic concerns, and trusted to form the minds of children. When the steward came to seek a wife for his young master, he did not go to places of amusement and sinful pleasure, and pray that he might meet one there, but to the well of water, expecting to find one there employed aright. He prayed that God would please to make his way in this matter plain and clear before him.

Our times are in God's hand; not only events themselves, but the times of them. We must take heed of being over-bold in urging what God should do, lest the event should weaken our faith, rather than strengthen it. But God owned him by making his way clear. Rebekah, in all respects, answered the characters he sought for in the woman that was to be his master's wife. When she came to the well, she went down and filled her pitcher, and came up to go home with it. She did not stand to gaze upon the strange man his camels, but minded her business, and would not have been diverted from it but by an opportunity of doing good. She did not curiously or confidently enter into discourse with him, but answered him modestly. Being satisfied that the Lord had heard his prayer, he gave the damsel some ornaments worn in eastern countries; asking at the same time respecting her kindred. On learning that she was of his master's relations, he bowed down his head and worshipped, blessing God. His words were addressed to the Lord, but being spoken in the hearing of Rebekah, she could perceive who he was, and whence he came.

This servant has become a history maker. If this servant did not pray and ask for the guidance of the Lord, I think by now there would be a totally wrong generation, but Praise God, because this servant took time to pray and to ask the Lord's divine intervention.

A few character I've learned from this servant.

1. He is a faithful servant
2. He is a prayerful servant
3. He is a trustworthy servant
4. He is a humble servant

There may be more, but this some of the key characters I found in this servant. God bless you all.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

How far are you willing to trust God...?

Genesis 22.8, 11-14 NKJV

And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together. But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” So he said, “Here I am.” And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him  was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. And Abraham called the name of the place, The- Lord -Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

******
† Shalom †......! Day #210. Do you know that your miracle is just a stone throw away? Let us pray. Father,  we believe in You and we are sure of the miracles You have for us. Let us not become weary in our faith but stand firm and hold on to Your word. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends,  many of us do pray sincerely for miracles, healing as well as for the manifestation of God's power, we even sometimes claim the Word of God to affirm our trust in God, but there's time when we fail to see the miracle God has provided for us. Why? Simply because we give up before the final step. Now, Abraham was a man full of faith in God. When Isaac asks about the lamb for sacrifice,  Abraham just replied "the Lord shall provide..." What a faith, he has! Abraham knew, but Isaac don't know. But Abraham hold on to God's Word.  Many of us hold on to God's Word and His promises,  yet when we go through the difficulties, all the trials and testings,  we tend to give up although we have known the truth. Hey friends,  God has not given up on you!

Maybe Abraham thought that "that's it, I have to sacrifice my own son." But you know friends,  Abraham was obedient even to the last point just before he sacrifices Isaac to God. It is written that, "But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” So he said, “Here I am.” And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” When the Angel of the Lord spoke to Abraham,  then he lifted up his eyes to the other side of the hill and saw a ram was caught in the thicket by its horns. Your miracle is just at the other side, lift up your eyes to see it.

Finally,  never give up when things does not seem to be as how you wanted it to be, continue to trust in God and always look at the bright side of what the Lord has prepared for us. See out of the box. God bless You!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

No turning back....!

Genesis 19:17,26 NKJV

So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #209. Do you know that when you look back at your past, you would eventually have the desire to return to the ways of your past? Let us pray. Father, we have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back Lord for You're the only One we could live for. The cross is before us and the world is behind us. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, Lot was good, but there was not one more of the same character in the city. All the people of Sodom were very wicked and vile. Care was therefore taken for saving Lot and his family. Lot lingered; he trifled. Thus many who are under convictions about their spiritual state, and the necessity of a change, defer that needful work. The salvation of the most righteous men is of God's mercy, not by their own merit. We are saved by grace. God's power also must be acknowledged in bringing souls out of a sinful state If God had not been merciful to us, our lingering had been our ruin. Lot must flee for his life. He must not hanker after Sodom. Such commands as these are given to those who, through grace, are delivered out of a sinful state and condition.

Return not to sin and Satan. Rest not in self and the world. Reach toward Christ and heaven, for that is escaping to the mountain, short of which we must not stop. Concerning this destruction, observe that it is a revelation of the wrath of God against sin and sinners of all ages. Let us learn from hence the evil of sin, and its hurtful nature; it leads to ruin. Looking back and returning back to our past ways and life is like a dog returns to its vomit. If you have made your decision to follow Jesus, there's no U turn,  there's no turning back. Pursue the Cross and let the world be behind you. God bless you.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Is anything too hard for the Lord...?

Genesis 18:13-14 NKJV

And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a  child, since I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord ? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

******
† Shalom †......! Day #208. Do you know that nothing is impossible for God? Let us pray. Father,  we come before You,  teach us to continue to trust in You for things which seems to be so hard for us, is possible for You. You are our Miracle Working God. Thank You Jesus. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends,  We are slow of heart to believe, and need line upon line to the same purport. The blessings others have from common providence, believers have from the Divine promise, which makes them very sweet, and very sure. The spiritual seed of Abraham owe their life, and joy, and hope, and all, to the promise. Sarah thinks this too good news to be true; she laughed, and therefore cannot as yet find in her heart to believe it. Sarah laughed. We might not have thought there was a difference between Sarah's laughter and Abraham's, Luk 17:17; but He who searches the heart, saw that the one sprung from unbelief, and the other from faith. She denied that she had laughed.

One sin commonly brings in another, and it is not likely we shall strictly keep to truth, when we question the Divine truth. But whom the Lord loves he will rebuke, convict, silence, and bring to repentance, and if they sin before him.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

His promises is for eternal...!

Genesis 15:1-6 NKJV

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.” But Abram said, “Lord God , what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!” And behold, the word of the Lord  came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.” Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” And he believed in the Lord , and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #207. Do you know that the promises of God lasts for a lifetime. Let us pray. Father, Your favor, and Your grace, and Your promises lasts for a lifetime. Thank You Lord, for everything You've done. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends,  God assured Abram of safety and happiness; that he should for ever be safe. I am thy shield; or, I am a shield to thee, present with thee, actually caring for thee. The consideration that God himself is, and will be a shield to his people, to secure them from all evils, a shield ready to them, and a shield round about them, should silence all perplexing, tormenting fears.

Though we must never complain of God, yet we have leave to complain to him; and to state all our grievances. It is ease to a burdened spirit, to open its case to a faithful and compassionate friend. Abram's complaint is, that he had no child; that he was never likely to have any; that the want of a son was so great a trouble to him, that it took away all his comfort. If we suppose that Abram looked no further than outward comfort, this complaint was to be blamed. But if we suppose that Abram herein had reference to the promised Seed, his desire was very commendable. Till we have evidence of our interest in Christ, we should not rest satisfied; what will all avail me, if I go Christless? If we continue instant in prayer, yet pray with humble submission to the Divine will, we shall not seek in vain. God gave Abram an express promise of a son. Christians may believe in God with respect to the common concerns of this life; but the faith by which they are justified, always has respect to the person and work of Christ. Abram believed in God as promising Christ; they believe in him as having raised him from the dead, Rom 4:24. Through faith in his blood they obtain forgiveness of sins.

Arise and conquer...!

Genesis 13:17 NKJV

Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.

******
† Shalom †......!  Day #206. Do you know that it is time for me and you to arise and walk in the land? Let us pray. Father,  we pray that we will conquer the which You have given to us and continue to expand and prosper. We are called to reign with You.  In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, the Bible says that we are to arise, to arise above all situations, all odds, above all every impossible circumstances.  Today the Lord is telling us to ARISE and to WALK. Let us look into what the Lord is telling us today.

1. Arise

» In Isaiah 60.1-3 NKJV, the Lord says,  "Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising." Hallelujah 🙌!  To arise,  to shine in the midst of the darkness for you are the salt and the light of the world. It is time to arise from our spiritual slumberness, spiritual laziness.  It is time to arise and the bring the waves of Revival wherever the Lord and placed you. People will just be drawn to you because the glory of God is upon you. When you begin to arise, the glory of God will shine upon you and wherever you are,  the glory of God shines through you and touch many lives. You are called to be the end times revivalist. When you choose to obey God and do His will, you shall see His mighty power upon you and the ministry you do. Touching lives and transforming nations! Wow......!

2. Walk

» The Lord is asking us today to walk the land, meaning to say to conquer the lands that's before us. Walking is conquering! Wherever you are, take charge of the things God has asked you to do because your calling comes with an authority and power. God is our Commander and we are His army, we execute what the Lord says. You got to conquer your the spiritual atmosphere wherever you are. It is like a lion marking its territory. You walk the land and mark your territory.  Hallelujah 🙌!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Get out of your comfort zone...!

Genesis 12:1-4 NKJV

Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #205. Do you know that unless you get out of your comfort zone, you will not see the blessings and promises of God? Let us pray. Father, we come before You today. Take us out of our comfort zone so that we would fulfill the calling in our lives. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, God made choice of Abram, and singled him out from among his fellow-idolaters, that he might reserve a people for himself, among whom his true worship might be maintained till the coming of Christ. From henceforward Abram and his seed are almost the only subject of the history in the Bible. Abram was tried whether he loved God better than all, and whether he could willingly leave all to go with God. His kindred and his father's house were a constant temptation to him, he could not continue among them without danger of being infected by them. Those who leave their sins, and turn to God, will be unspeakable gainers by the change. The command God gave to Abram, is much the same with the gospel call, for natural affection must give way to Divine grace. Sin, and all the occasions of it, must be forsaken; particularly bad company. Here are many great and precious promises. All God's precepts are attended with promises to the obedient.

1. I will make of you a great nation.
When God took Abram from his own people, he promised to make him the head of another people.

2. I will bless you.
Obedient believers shall be sure to inherit the blessing.

3. I will make your name great.
The name of obedient believers shall certainly be made great.

4. You shall be a blessing.
Good men are the blessings of their country.

5. I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that cursed you.
God will take care that none are losers, by any service done for his people.

6. In you shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Jesus Christ is the great blessing of the world, the greatest that ever the world possessed. All the true blessedness the world is now, or ever shall be possessed of, is owing to Abram and his posterity. Through them we have a Bible, a Saviour, and a gospel. They are the stock on which the Christian church is grafted.

Abram received this blessings because he made the choice to get out of his comfort zone and do the things he did not thought of. Another thig is that he was obedient when God told him to leave his family and go to a foreign land. He obeyed.  What about us today? Is God asking us to get out and get rid of our comfort zone? Are we being obedient to the call? Let us take some time to ponder upon this. God bless you.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

The tower of Babel...!

Genesis 11:5-9 NKJV

But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #204. Do you know that God had to interfere when men were filled with pride and they think they can do anything without God? Let us pray. Father,  let us not be prideful and allow pride and ego to control our lives but in every ways, being submitted to You in humbleness and reverence. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, here is an expression after the manner of men; The Lord came down to see the city. God is just and fair in all He  does against sin and sinners, and condemns none unheard. Pious Eber is not found among this ungodly crew; for he and his are called the children of God; their souls joined not themselves to the assembly of these children of men. God suffered them to go on some way, that the works of their hands, from which they promised themselves lasting honour, might turn to their lasting reproach. God has wise and holy ends, in allowing the enemies of his glory to carry on their wicked projects a great way, and to prosper long. Observe the wisdom and mercy of God, in the methods taken for defeating this undertaking. And the mercy of God in not making the penalty equal to the offence; for he deals not with us according to our sins. The wisdom of God, in fixing upon a sure way to stop these proceedings. If they could not understand one another, they could not help one another; this would take them off from their building.

God has various means, and effectual ones, to baffle and defeat the projects of proud men that set themselves against him, and particularly he divides them among themselves. Notwithstanding their union and obstinacy God was above them; for who ever hardened his heart against Him, and prospered? Their language was confounded. We all suffer by it to this day: in all the pains and trouble used to learn the languages we have occasion for, we suffer for the rebellion of our ancestors at Babel. Nay, and those unhappy disputes, which are strifes of words, and arise from misunderstanding one another's words, for aught we know, are owing to this confusion of tongues. They left off to build the city. The confusion of their tongues not only unfitted them for helping one another, but they saw the hand of the Lord gone out against them. It is wisdom to leave off that which we see God fights against. God is able to blast and bring to nought all the devices and designs of Babel-builders: there is no wisdom nor counsel against the Lord. The builders departed according to their families, and the tongue they spake, to the countries and places allotted to them. The children of men never did, nor ever will, come all together again, till the great day, when the Son of man shall sit upon the throne of his glory, and all nations shall be gathered before Him.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Where are you?

Genesis 3:8-9 NKJV

And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”

******
† Shalom †......! Day #203. Do you know that sin separates us from the presence of the Lord? Let us pray. Father,  let us not be deceived to sin by the devil but in every ways being alert and watchful in prayer. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends,  observe the steps of the transgression: not steps upward, but downward toward the pit.

1. She saw. A great deal of sin comes in at the eye. Let us not look on that which we are in danger of lusting after, Mt 5:28.

2. She took. It was her own act and deed. Satan may tempt, but he cannot force; may persuade us to cast ourselves down, but he cannot cast us down, Mt 4:6.

3. She did eat. When she looked perhaps she did not intend to take; or when she took, not to eat: but it ended in that. It is wisdom to stop the first motions of sin, and to leave it off before it be meddled with.

4. She gave it also to her husband with her. Those that have done ill, are willing to draw in others to do the same.

5. He did eat. In neglecting the tree of life, of which he was allowed to eat, and eating of the tree of knowledge, which was forbidden, Adam plainly showed a contempt of what God had bestowed on him, and a desire for what God did not see fit to give him. He would have what he pleased, and do what he pleased. His sin was, in one word, disobedience, Ro 5:19; disobedience to a plain, easy, and express command. He had no corrupt nature within, to betray him; but had a freedom of will, in full strength, not weakened or impaired. He turned aside quickly. He drew all his posterity into sin and ruin. Who then can say that Adam's sin had but little harm in it? When too late, Adam and Eve saw the folly of eating forbidden fruit. They saw the happiness they fell from, and the misery they were fallen into. They saw a loving God provoked, his grace and favour forfeited. See her what dishonour and trouble sin is; it makes mischief wherever it gets in, and destroys all comfort. Sooner or later it will bring shame; either the shame of true repentance, which ends in glory, or that shame and everlasting contempt, to which the wicked shall rise at the great day. See here what is commonly the folly of those that have sinned. They have more care to save their credit before men, than to obtain their pardon from God. The excuses men make to cover and lessen their sins, are vain and frivolous; like the aprons of fig-leaves, they make the matter never the better: yet we are all apt to cover our transgressions as Adam. Before they sinned, they would have welcomed God's gracious visits with humble joy; but now he was become a terror to them. No marvel that they became a terror to themselves, and full of confusion. This shows the falsehood of the tempter, and the frauds of his temptations. Satan promised they should be safe, but they cannot so much as think themselves so! Adam and Eve were now miserable comforters to each other!

Now, observe the startling question, Adam, Where are you? Those who by sin go astray from God, should seriously consider where they are; they are afar off from all good, in the midst of their enemies, in bondage to Satan, and in the high road to utter ruin. This lost sheep had wandered without end, if the good Shepherd had not sought after him, and told him, that where he was straying he could not be either happy or easy. If sinners will but consider where they are, they will not rest till they return to God. It is the common fault and folly of those that have done ill, when questioned about it, to acknowledge only that which is so manifest that they cannot deny it. Like Adam, we have reason to be afraid of approaching to God, if we are not covered and clothed with the righteousness of Christ. Sin appears most plainly in the glass of the commandment, therefore God set it before Adam; and in it we should see our faces. But instead of acknowledging the sin in its full extent, and taking shame to themselves, Adam and Eve excuse the sin, and lay the shame and blame on others. There is a strange proneness in those that are tempted, to say, they are tempted of God; as if our abuse of God's gifts would excuse our breaking God's laws. Those who are willing to take the pleasure and profit of sin, are backward to take the blame and shame of it. Learn hence, that Satan's temptations are all beguilings; his arguments are all deceits; his allurements are all cheats; when he speaks fair, believe him not. It is by the deceitfulness of sin the heart is hardened. See Ro 7:11; Heb 3:13. But though Satan's subtlety may draw us into sin, yet it will not justify us in sin. Though he is the tempter, we are the sinners. Let it not lessen our sorrow for sin, that we were beguiled into it; but let it increase our self-indignation, that we should suffer ourselves to be deceived by a known cheat, and a sworn enemy, who would destroy our souls.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

You shall surely die...!

Genesis 2:16-17 NKJV

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

******
† Shalom †......! Day #202. Do you know that when you begin to mingle with sin and every evil that's in it, you will die spiritually? Let us pray. Father, let us know Your truth that sets us free from every bondages and being entangled with sin. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends,  let us never set up our own will against the holy will of God. There was not only liberty allowed to man, in taking the fruits of paradise, but everlasting life made sure to him upon his obedience. There was a trial appointed of his obedience. By transgression he would forfeit his Maker's favour, and deserve his displeasure, with all its awful effects; so that he would become liable to pain, disease, and death. Worse than that, he would lose the holy image of God, and all the comfort of his favour; and feel the torment of sinful passions, and the terror of his Maker's vengeance, which must endure for ever with his never dying soul. The forbidding to eat of the fruit of a particular tree was wisely suited to the state of our first parents. In their state of innocence, and separated from any others, what opportunity or what temptation had they to break any of the ten commandments?

The event proves that the whole human race were concerned in the trial and fall of our first parents. To argue against these things is to strive against stubborn facts, as well as Divine revelation; for man is sinful, and shows by his first actions, and his conduct ever afterwards, that he is ready to do evil. He is under the Divine displeasure, exposed to sufferings and death. The Scriptures always speak of man as of this sinful character, and in this miserable state; and these things are true of men in all ages, and of all nations.

When you are married to the world, you are married to all evil and sin that's in the world. But if you are married to Christ Jesus, you are married to Eternal Life and abundant blessings of God. The first Adam fell because of disobedience for eating the fruit from the forbidden tree, nevertheless, the second Adam, Jesus Christ, came to give life and restore us to God once again. Man died spiritually but Jesus came and make us alive spiritually. Freedom was given to men, but they miss used the freedom from God and fell into sin. If we abide in the truth of God, then let us continue to pursue the truth of God in obedience, reverence towards God and His words.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

In Our likeness...!

Genesis 1:26,28 NKJV

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Man. - Man is a new species, essentially different from all other kinds on earth. "In our image, after our likeness." He is to be allied to heaven as no other creature on earth is. He is to be related to the Eternal Being himself. This relation, however, is to be not in matter, but in form; not in essence, but in semblance. This precludes all pantheistic notions of the origin of man. "Image" is a word taken from sensible things, and denotes likeness in outward form, while the material may be different. "Likeness" is a more general term, indicating resemblance in any quality, external or internal. It is here explanatory of image, and seems to show that this term is to be taken in a figurative sense, to denote not a material but a spiritual conformity to God. The Eternal Being is essentially self-manifesting. The appearance he presents to an eye suited to contemplate him is his image. The union of attributes which constitute his spiritual nature is his character or likeness. In "Our likeness" means the characteristics of God, the attitude of God, the personality of God, we also must have. Love like God, serve like Christ.

We gather from the present chapter that God is a spirit Genesis 1:2, that he thinks, speaks, wills, and acts (Genesis 1:3-4, etc.). Here, then, are the great points of conformity to God in man, namely, reason, speech, will, and power. By reason we apprehend concrete things in perception and consciousness, and cognize abstract truth, both metaphysical and moral. By speech we make certain easy and sensible acts of our own the signs of the various objects of our contemplative faculties to ourselves and others. By will we choose, determine, and resolve upon what is to be done. By power we act, either in giving expression to our concepts in words, or effect to our determinations in deeds. In the reason is evolved the distinction of good and evil Genesis 1:4, Genesis 1:31, which is in itself the approval of the former and the disapproval of the latter. In the will is unfolded that freedom of action which chooses the good and refuses the evil. In the spiritual being that exercises reason and will resides the power to act, which presupposes both these faculties - the reason as informing the will, and the will as directing the power. This is that form of God in which he has created man, and condescends to communicate with him.

And let them rule. - The relation of man to the creature is now stated. It is that of sovereignty. Those capacities of right thinking, right willing, and right acting, or of knowledge, holiness, and righteousness, in which man resembles God, qualify him for dominion, and constitute him lord of all creatures that are destitute of intellectual and moral endowments. Hence, wherever man enters he makes his sway to be felt. He contemplates the objects around him, marks their qualities and relations, conceives and resolves upon the end to be attained, and endeavors to make all things within his reach work together for its accomplishment. This is to rule on a limited scale. The field of his dominion is "the fish of the sea, the fowl of the skies, the cattle, the whole land, and everything that creepeth on the land." The order here is from the lowest to the highest. The fish, the fowl, are beneath the domestic cattle. These again are of less importance than the land, which man tills and renders fruitful in all that can gratify his appetite or his taste. The last and greatest victory of all is over the wild animals, which are included under the class of creepers that are prone in their posture, and move in a creeping attitude over the land. The primeval and prominent objects of human sway are here brought forward after the manner of Scripture. But there is not an object within the ken of man which he does not aim at making subservient to his purposes. He has made the sea his highway to the ends of the earth, the stars his pilots on the pathless ocean, the sun his bleacher and painter, the bowels of the earth the treasury from which he draws his precious and useful metals and much of his fuel, the steam his motive power, and the lightning his messenger. These are proofs of the evergrowing sway of man.

The divine blessing is now pronounced upon man. It differs from that of the lower animals chiefly in the element of supremacy. Power is presumed to belong to man's nature, according to the counsel of the Maker's will Genesis 1:26. But without a special permission he cannot exercise any lawful authority. For the other creatures are as independent of him as he is of them. As creatures he and they are on an equal footing, and have no natural fight either over the other. Hence, it is necessary that he should receive from high heaven a formal charter of right over the things that were made for man. He is therefore authorized, by the word of the Creator, to exercise his power in subduing the earth and ruling over the animal kingdom. This is the meet sequel of his being created in the image of God. Being formed for dominion, the earth and its various products and inhabitants are assigned to him for the display of his powers. The subduing and ruling refer not to the mere supply of his natural needs, for which provision is made in the following verse, but to the accomplishment of his various purposes of science and beneficence, whether towards the inferior animals or his own race. It is the part of intellectual and moral reason to employ power for the ends of general no less than personal good. The sway of man ought to be beneficent.

I am coming quickly...!

Revelation 22.7, 12-13 NKJV

“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the  Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

******
† Shalom †......! Day #200. Do you know that God will reward each and everyone according to what they have done? Let us pray. Father, we want to be found faithful to You till the end and let us not depart from our faith in You.  In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

The Lord Jesus spake by the angel, solemnly confirming the contents of this book, particularly of this last vision. He is the Lord God faithful and true. Also by his messengers; the holy angels showed them to holy men of God. They are things that must shortly be done; Christ will come quickly, and put all things out of doubt. And by the integrity of that angel who had been the apostle's interpreter. He refused to accept religious worship from John, and reproved him for offering it. This presents another testimony against idolatrous worship of saints and angels. God calls every one to witness to the declarations here made. This book, thus kept open, will have effect upon men; the filthy and unjust will be more so, but it will confirm, strengthen, and further sanctify those who are upright with God. Never let us think that a dead or disobedient faith will save us, for the First and the Last has declared that those alone are blessed who do his commandments. It is a book that shuts out form heaven all wicked and unrighteous persons, particularly those who love and make lies, therefore cannot itself be a lie. There is no middle place or condition. Jesus, who is the Spirit of prophecy, has given his churches this morning-light of prophecy, to assure them of the light of the perfect day approaching. All is confirmed by an open and general invitation to mankind, to come and partake freely of the promises and of the privileges of the gospel. The Spirit, by the sacred word, and by convictions and influence in the sinner's conscience, says, Come to Christ for salvation; and the bride, or the whole church, on earth and in heaven, says, Come and share our happiness. Lest any should hesitate, it is added, Let whosoever will, or, is willing, come and take of the water of life freely. May every one who hears or reads these words, desire at once to accept the gracious invitation. All are condemned who should dare to corrupt or change the word of God, either by adding to it, or taking from it.

After discovering these things to his people on earth, Christ seems to take leave of them, and return to heaven; but he assures them it shall not be long before he comes again. And while we are busy in the duties of our different stations of life; whatever labours may try us, whatever difficulties may surround us, whatever sorrows may press us down, let us with pleasure hear our Lord proclaiming, Behold, I come quickly; I come to put an end to the labour and suffering of my servants. I come, and my reward of grace is with me, to recompense, with royal bounty, every work of faith and labour of love. I come to receive my faithful, persevering people to myself, to dwell for ever in that blissful world. Amen, even so, come, Lord Jesus. A blessing closes the whole. By the grace of Christ we must be kept in joyful expectation of his glory, fitted for it, and preserved to it; and his glorious appearance will be joyful to those who partake of his grace and favour here. Let all add, Amen. Let us earnestly thirst after greater measures of the gracious influences of the blessed Jesus in our souls, and his gracious presence with us, till glory has made perfect his grace toward us. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

He makes all things new..!

Revelation 21.1 NKJV

Now I saw a new heaven and a new bearth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

******
† Shalom †......!  day 199. Do you know that God is in the verge of making all things new. Let us pray.  Father, the time has come for You to create all things new. Father let our old self pass away,  new self be created holy and blameless. You make all things new. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

The new heaven and the new earth will not be separate from each other; the earth of the saints, their glorified, bodies, will be heavenly. The old world, with all its troubles and tumults, will have passed away. There will be no sea; this aptly represents freedom from conflicting passions, temptations, troubles, changes, and alarms; from whatever can divide or interrupt the communion of saints. This new Jerusalem is the church of God in its new and perfect state, the church triumphant. Its blessedness came wholly from God, and depends on him. The presence of God with his people in heaven, will not be interrupt as it is on earth, he will dwell with them continually. All effects of former trouble shall be done away. They have often been in tears, by reason of sin, of affliction, of the calamities of the church; but no signs, no remembrance of former sorrows shall remain. Christ makes all things new.

Expect God to do something new with your life.  Be renewed. Let God to pour new wine into the new wine skin. He makes all things new. Amen!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

You are to reign with God...!

Revelation 20:4 NKJV

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I  saw  the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

******
† Shalom †......!  Day #198. Do you know that you will reign together with Jesus? Let us pray. Father, the victor's crown 👑 is given to those who have overcome and they reign together with You. Thank You, for the blessed promised. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, here is an account of the reign of the saints, for the same space of time as Satan is bound. Those who suffer with Christ, shall reign with him in his spiritual and heavenly kingdom, in conformity to him in his wisdom, righteousness, and holiness: this is called the first resurrection, with which none but those who serve Christ, and suffer for him, shall be favoured. The happiness of these servants of God is declared. None can be blessed but those that are holy; and all that are holy shall be blessed. We know something thing of what the first death is, and it is very awful; but we know not what this second death is. It must be much more dreadful; it is the death of the soul, eternal separation from God. May we never know what it is: those who have been made partakers of a spiritual resurrection, are saved from the power of the second death.

We may expect that a thousand years will follow the destruction of the antichristian, idolatrous, persecuting powers, during which pure Christianity, in doctrine, worship, and holiness, will be made known over all the earth. By the all-powerful working of the Holy Spirit, fallen man will be new-created; and faith and holiness will as certainly prevail, as unbelief and unholiness now do. We may easily perceive what a variety of dreadful pains, diseases, and other calamities would cease, if all men were true and consistent Christians. All the evils of public and private contests would be ended, and happiness of every kind largely increased. Every man would try to lighten suffering, instead of adding to the sorrows around him. It is our duty to pray for the promised glorious days, and to do every thing in our public and private stations which can prepare for them.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Behold...I am coming.....!

Revelation 16:15 NKJV

“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”

******
† Shalom †......! Day #197. Do you know that we must be ready and prepared for the second coming of the Lord? Let us pray. Father,  we pray that, help us to be watchful and alert as we eagerly wait for Your second coming. Let us not be found in an unprepared manner, but holding on to the confession of our faith in You till the end. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends,  you don't know when thieves would come therefore you must tighten the security of your house and so on. It also means to be watchful and alert.

1. Jesus said "be watchful and alert in prayer."
» we aren't fighting against flesh and blood but against the powers and principalities of the darkness that's ruling this world therefore you fight the darkness through intense prayer and warfare. Being aware of what's happening in the spiritual realm. That's what is means to be alert and watchful in prayer. It reminds us not only that our Lord may come unexpectedly, but that He may even come and we be unaware. There is one day when He will come, and every eye will behold Him; but He comes in various ways and forms to bless and to test man. Blessed are they who are ready, watching. But vigilance is not enough: the garments must be kept. The powers of evil are abroad. Sloth and pleasure may counsel ease, and tempt the watcher to lay aside his garments and take rest and sleep. The earnest watcher desires, like Apostle Paul, to be found in Christ, clad in the true righteousness of faith (Philippians 3:9).

2. And keepeth his garments - The allusion here seems to be to one who, regardless of danger, or of the approach of an enemy, should lay aside his garments and lie down to sleep. Then the thief might come and take away his garments, leaving him naked. The essential idea, therefore, here, is the duty of vigilance. We are to be awake to duty and to danger; we are not to be found sleeping at our post; we are to be ready for death - ready for the coming of the Son of man.

Lest he walk naked - His raiment being carried away while he is asleep.

And they see his shame - Compare the notes on Revelation 3:18. The meaning here is, that, as Christians are clothed with the garments of righteousness, they should not lay them aside, so that their spiritual nakedness should be seen. They are to be always clothed with the robes of salvation; always ready for any event, however soon or suddenly it may come upon them.
Let this day be the day of the Lord!

It's harvest time...!

Revelation 14:14-16 NKJV

Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #196. Do you know that the harvest time has come and the fields are ready to be harvested?  Let us pray. Father,  we pray, that You would raise up end time harvesters to harvest for the fields has ripen and ready for harvest. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends,  warnings and judgments not having produced reformation, the sins of the nations are filled up, and they become ripe for judgments, represented by a harvest, an emblem which is used to signify the gathering of the righteous, when ripe for heaven, by the mercy of God. The harvest time is when the corn is ripe; when the believers are ripe for heaven, then the wheat of the earth shall be gathered into Christ's garner. And by a vintage. The enemies of Christ and His  church are not destroyed, till by their sin they are ripe for ruin, and then He  will spare them no longer. The wine-press is the wrath of God, some terrible calamity, probably the sword, shedding the blood of the wicked. The patience of God towards sinners, is the greatest miracle in the world; but, though lasting, it will not be everlasting; and ripeness in sin is a sure proof of judgment at hand.

Jesus says, "the harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few, therefore pray to the Lord of harvest that He may send more labourers."

1. Then saith he unto his disciples,....
» His heart being drawn out, and filled with pity to these poor people, upon observing the miserable and sad condition they were in; He  turns Himself  to His  disciples, whom He  was about to call, and send forth in a more public manner to preach the Gospel, of which we read in the following chapter; and in order to quicken them to this service, and engage their hearts in it, says unto them,

2. The harvest truly is plenteous;
» meaning the large number of God's elect, which were in these cities, towns, and villages, and in other places: not that these were maturely prepared by anything in themselves, or done by them, for the grace of God; and much less ripe for the kingdom of glory, and therefore called an harvest: but as there are the appointed weeks of the harvest, or a set time for the harvest to be gathered in, so there is a certain fixed time, settled in the counsel, and by the purpose of God, for the effectual calling and conversion of his elect; and this time being come, with respect to these in Galilee, and other parts, Christ calls them an "harvest"; and because of their number, a large, or "plenteous" one.

3. But the labourers are few:
» Gospel ministers; whose calling is a laborious one; whose business is to labour in the word and doctrine; to be constant in prayer; to give up themselves to meditation and reading; to study to show themselves workmen; to preach the word in season, and out of season; and diligently discharge the several duties of their office, to the glory of Christ, and the good of souls: but such painful and laborious ministers, who are willing to spend, and be spent for Christ and immortal souls, have been but few in all ages; generally speaking, there are more loiterers than labourers.

Christ is the Lord of the harvest. Let us pray that many may be raised up and sent forth, who will labour in bringing souls to Christ. It is a sign that God is about to bestow some special mercy upon a people, when he stirs them up to pray for it. And commissions given to labourers in answer to prayer, are most likely to be successful.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

The beast and his number...!

Revelation 13:16-18 NKJV

He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #195. Do you know that the mark of the beast is being tested now and they going to implement it very soon? Let us pray. Father, let not our faith be shaken but be found Faithful to You and towards our calling. Let us not "sell" our faith in You, deny You and follow the beast, but Lord, help us to stand firm in You in every situations and circumstances.  In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, those who think the first beast signifies Rome pagan by this second beast would understand Rome papal, which promotes idolatry and tyranny, but in a more soft and lamb-like manner: those that understand the first beast of the secular power of the papacy take the second to intend its spiritual and ecclesiastical powers, which act under the disguise of religion and charity to the souls of men. Here observe,

I. The form and shape of this second beast: He had two horns like a lamb, but a mouth that spoke like the dragon. All agree that this must be some great impostor, who, under a pretence of religion, shall deceive the souls of men. The papists would have it to be Apollonius Tyranaeus; but Dr. More has rejected that opinion, and fixes it upon the ecclesiastical powers of the papacy. The pope shows the horns of a lamb, pretends to be the vicar of Christ upon earth, and so to be vested with his power and authority; but his speech betrays him, for he gives forth those false doctrines and cruel decrees which show him to belong to the dragon, and not to the Lamb.

II. The power which he exercises: All the power of the former beast (Rev 13:12); he promotes the same interest, pursues the same design in substance, which is, to draw men off from worshipping the true God to worshipping those who by nature are no gods, and subject the souls and consciences of men to the will and authority of men, in opposition to the will of God. This design is promoted by the popery as well as by paganism, and by the crafty arts of popery as well as by the secular arm, both serving the interests of the devil, though in a different manner.

III. The methods by which this second beast carried on his interests and designs; they are of three sorts: -

1. Lying wonders, pretended miracles, by which they should be deceived, and prevailed with to worship the former beast in this new image or shape that was now made for him; they would pretend to bring down fire from heaven, as Elias did, and God sometimes permits his enemies, as he did the magicians of Egypt, to do things that seem very wonderful, and by which unwary persons may be deluded. It is well known that the papal kingdom has been long supported by pretended miracles.

2. Excommunications, anathemas, severe censures, by which they pretend to cut men off from Christ, and cast them into the power of the devil, but do indeed deliver them over to the secular power, that they may be put to death; and thus, notwithstanding their vile hypocrisy, they are justly charged with killing those whom they cannot corrupt.

3. By disfranchisement, allowing none to enjoy natural, civil, or municipal rights, who will not worship that papal beast, that is, the image of the pagan beast. It is made a qualification for buying and selling the rights of nature, as well as for places of profit and trust, that they have the mark of the beast in their forehead and in their right hand, and that they have the name of the beast and the number of his name. It is probable that the mark, the name, and the number of the beast, may all signify the same thing - that they make an open profession of their subjection and obedience to the papacy, which is receiving the mark in their forehead, and that they oblige themselves to use all their interest, power, and endeavour, to promote the papal authority, which is receiving the mark in their right hands. We are told that pope Martin V. in his bull, added to the council of Constance, prohibits Roman catholics from suffering any heretics to dwell in their countries, or to make any bargains, use any trades, or bear any civil offices, which is a very clear interpretation of this prophecy.

IV. We have here the number of the beast, given in such a manner as shows the infinite wisdom of God, and will sufficiently exercise all the wisdom and accuracy of men: The number is the number of a man, computed after the usual manner among men, and it is 666. Whether this be the number of the errors and heresies that are contained in popery, or rather, as others, the number of the years from its rise to its fall, is not certain, much less what that period is which is described by these prophetic numbers. The most admired dissertation on this intricate subject is that of Dr. Potter, where the curious may find sufficient entertainment. It seems to me to be one of those seasons which God has reserved in his own power; only this we know, God has written Mene Tekel upon all his enemies; he has numbered their days, and they shall be finished, but his own kingdom shall endure for ever.

Let us be watchful and alert. Test every spirits, because the spirit of antichrist is already here, they are wolves pretend to be lamb. They are from amongst us. God bless you.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

The blood and the testimony...

Revelation 12:11 NKJV

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

† Shalom †......! Day #194. Do you know that you can overcome the devil by theblood of the Lamb and by the word of your testimony? Let us pray. Father,  there is power, wonder working power in the blood of the Lamb. The devil is a defeated foe. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, the attempts of the dragon proved unsuccessful against the church, and fatal to his own interests. The seat of this war was in heaven; in the church of Christ, the kingdom of heaven on earth. The parties were Christ, the great Angel of the covenant, and his faithful followers; and Satan and his instruments. The strength of the church is in having the Lord Jesus for the Captain of their salvation. Pagan idolatry, which was the worship of devils, was cast out of the empire by the spreading of Christianity. The salvation and strength of the church, are only to be ascribed to the King and Head of the church. The conquered enemy hates the presence of God, yet he is willing to appear there, to accuse the people of God.

Let us take heed that we give him no cause to accuse us; and that, when we have sinned, we go before the Lord, condemn ourselves, and commit our cause to Christ as our Advocate. The servants of God overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb, as the cause. By the word of their testimony: the powerful preaching of the gospel is mighty, through God, to pull down strong holds. By their courage and patience in sufferings: they loved not their lives so well but they could lay them down in Christ's cause. These were the warriors and the weapons by which Christianity overthrew the power of pagan idolatry; and if Christians had continued to fight with these weapons, and such as these, their victories would have been more numerous and glorious, and the effects more lasting. The redeemed overcame by a simple reliance on the blood of Christ, as the only ground of their hopes. In this we must be like them. We must not blend any thing else with this.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Give thanks...!

Revelation 11:17 NKJV

saying: “We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #193. Do you know that in heaven, there's continuous praise and worship being offered to God? Let us pray. Father, with a grateful heart, we lift up our hearts and hands to You, we want to sing of Your praises forevermore for You are good and Your mercies endures forever. In Jesus Name we ask and pray, amenl

A heart of gratitude
Friends, Thanksgiving is not a yearly festival or once a year festival or after you've accomplished something and  you feel like giving thanks. NO!

Thanksgiving is your lifestyle. Apostle Paul did not say, "you give thanks when you have completed certain task or ministry" but he said IN ALL THINGS GIVE THANKS. If you read the book of Psalms,  the writer did not choose a certain day to give thanks,  but in all situations of his life, he lifted up his voice and sang praises and giving thanks to God for all He has done. Make it a habit, a lifestyle to give thanks to God.

In everything give thanks...

People say "you don't know what I am going through, so don't speak as though you know and feel." Have you heard this before? Well, I bet you do. Yes, not everyone really "feel" what you go through, but hey it doesn't have to be the same situation you are going through. Everyone has their own mountains to be dealt with. But, to command and conquer all the mountains, how's your attitude?  Are we somehow flowing and continue to allow the mountain to shake you, or with full of faith in God, you begin to lift up your hands 👐 and give praises of Thanksgiving unto God?

I just met in an accident last Friday  [10.7.2015], I can choose to curse the people who knocked me, or I can choose to say "hallelujah 🙌 ". I was angry, shocked, a mix of emotions until I felt like my heart just drop down, but I thank God, for the few people He gave me, they gave the words of encouragement and it lifted up my spirit to be able to say "Hallelujah 🙌, praise the Lord." Amen... In all things give thanks to God...

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Command and Conquer...!

Revelation 6:2 NKJV

And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #192. Do you know that you are called to conquer? Let us pray. Father, raise up a generation of conquerors,  people who will conquer the earth for the Glory of Your name.  In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, we are called yo reign together with Christ. A fearless generation that's been raised up by God to command and conquer. We are all eagerly waiting for the second coming of the Lord, and in meantime what are we supposed to do?

1. Well, we are to be steadfast in our faith.
- To have a mountain moving faith, a mustard seed faith.  Which means, an unshakable faith. It doesn't matter what happens, your faith is still firm in God. In a few events that's taken place in yhe Bible, Jesus said "Your faith has healed you." See it is again the mustard seed faith you have in God that's going to bring healing, restoration, revival, victory.

2. To command and conquer all situations, those spiritual mountains.
- You have the God given authority and power with you. Jesus has given it to us therefore use it to command into the spiritual realm and conquer all unconquerable situations, places, spiritual atmosphere.

There's a lot more for me to say, well I will leave with you this points. Let not your faith be shaken. Have a fearless faith. God bless you.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Lukewarm....

Revelation 3:15-1, 19-20 NKJV

“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.  So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.  Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #191. Do you know that God does not like us to be lukewarm believers? Let us pray. Father, we pray that we will always be on fire for You and let us not be a lazy and a lukewarm believer. Let us continue to serve You in a fervent spirit.  In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends,  Christ expects men should be in earnest. How many professors of gospel doctrine are neither hot nor cold; except as they are indifferent in needful matters, and hot and fiery in disputes about things of lesser moment! A severe punishment is threatened. They would give a false opinion of Christianity, as if it were an unholy religion; while others would conclude it could afford no real satisfaction, otherwise its professors would not have been heartless in it, or so ready to seek pleasure or happiness from the world. One cause of this indifference and inconsistency in religion is, self-conceit and self-delusion; Because thou sayest. What a difference between their thoughts of themselves, and the thoughts Christ had of them! How careful should we be not to cheat our owns souls! There are many in hell, who once thought themselves far in the way to heaven. Let us beg of God that we may not be left to flatter and deceive ourselves. Professors grow proud, as they become carnal and formal. Their state was wretched in itself. Good counsel was given by Christ to this sinful people. Happy are those who take his counsel. Christ lets them know where they might have true riches, and how they might have them. Some things must be parted with, but nothing valuable; and it is only to make room for receiving true riches. Part with sin and self-confidence, that you may be filled with his hidden treasure. They must receive from Christ the white raiment he purchased and provided for them; his own imputed righteousness for justification, and the garments of holiness and sanctification. Let them give themselves up to his word and Spirit, and their eyes shall be opened to see their way and their end.

Let us examine ourselves by the rule of his word, and pray earnestly for the teaching of His  Holy Spirit, to take away our pride, prejudices, and worldly lusts. Sinners ought to take the rebukes of God's word and rod, as tokens of his love to their souls. Christ stood without; knocking, by the dealings of His  providence, the warnings and teaching of His  word, and the influences of His  Spirit. Christ still graciously, by His  word and Spirit, comes to the door of the hearts of sinners. Those who open to him shall enjoy his presence. If what He  finds would make but a poor feast, what He  brings will supply a rich one. He will give fresh supplies of graces and comforts. In the conclusion is a promise to the overcoming believer. Christ himself had temptations and conflicts; He  overcame them all, and was more than a conqueror. Those made like to Christ in his trials, shall be made like to him in glory. All is closed with the general demand of attention. And these counsels, while suited to the churches to which they were addressed, are deeply interesting to all men.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

An open door before you...!

Revelation 3:8, 10 NKJV

“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.  Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #190. Do you know that the Lord our God knows every works you do and He rewards you for your faithfulness? Let us pray. Father, as we walk with You,  we pray that we will continue to remain faithful to You. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen...!

Friends, the Lord knows everything and every works we do and he does nit forgets it all. The Lord is saying today to "SEE" into the spiritual things which He has prepared for you and I. Seeing by faith into tge spiritual realm by faith and receiving it in the natural realm. Look into the the door which the Lord has opened for you.  The same Lord Jesus has the key of government and authority in and over the church. He opens a door of opportunity to His  churches; He opens a door of utterance to his ministers; He opens a door of entrance, opens the heart. He shuts the door of heaven against the foolish, who sleep away their day of grace; and against the workers of iniquity, how vain and confident soever they may be. The church in Philadelphia is commended; yet with a gentle reproof. Although Christ accepts a little strength, yet believers must not rest satisfied in a little, but strive to grow in grace, to be strong in faith, giving glory to God. Christ can discover this His favour to His  people, so that their enemies shall be forced to acknowledge it. This, by the grace of Christ, will soften their enemies, and make them desire to be admitted into communion with his people.

Christ promises preserving grace in the most trying times, as the reward of past faithfulness; To him that has shall be given. Those who keep the gospel in a time of peace, shall be kept by Christ in an hour of temptation; and the same Divine grace that has made them fruitful in times of peace, will make them faithful in times of persecution. Christ promises a glorious reward to the victorious believer. He shall be a monumental pillar in the temple of God; a monument of the free and powerful grace of God; a monument that shall never be defaced or removed. On this pillar shall be written the new name of Christ; by this will appear, under whom the believer fought the good fight, and came off victorious.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Strengthen the things which remain...!

Revelation 3:2-3 NKJV

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.  Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #189. Do you know that you must be watchful and continue to strengthen the things which remain and that are ready to die? Let us pray. Father, as we continue to serve You, let us serve You wholeheartedly, giving our best to the calling You have called us with. Not somehow serving You,  but wholeheartedly.  In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, the Lord Jesus is He that has the Holy Spirit with all His  powers, graces, and operations. Hypocrisy, and lamentable decay in religion, are sins charged upon Sardis, by One who knew that church well, and all her works. Outward things appeared well to men, but there was only the form of godliness, not the power; a name to live, not a principle of life. There was great deadness in their souls, and in their services; numbers were wholly hypocrites, others were in a disordered and lifeless state.

Our Lord called upon them to be watchful against their enemies, and to be active and earnest in their duties; and to endeavour, in dependence on the grace of the Holy Spirit, to revive and strengthen the faith and spiritual affections of those yet alive to God, though in a declining state. Whenever we are off our watch, we lose ground. Your works are hollow and empty; prayers are not filled up with holy desires, alms-deeds not filled up with true charity, sabbaths not filled up with suitable devotion of soul to God. There are not inward affections suitable to outward acts and expressions; when the spirit is wanting, the form cannot long remain.

In seeking a revival in our own souls, or the souls of others, it is needful to compare what we profess with the manner in which we go on, that we may be humbled and quickened to hold fast that which remains. Christ enforces his counsel with a dreadful threatening if it should be despised. Yet our blessed Lord does not leave this sinful people without some encouragement. He makes honourable mention of the faithful remnant in Sardis, he makes a gracious promise to them. He that overcometh shall be clothed in white raiment; the purity of grace shall be rewarded with the perfect purity of glory. Christ has his book of life, a register of all who shall inherit eternal life; the book of remembrance of all who live to God, and keep up the life and power of godliness in evil times. Christ will bring forward this book of life, and show the names of the faithful, before God, and all the angels, at the great day.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Be not the compromising church...!

Revelation 2:13-17 NKJV

“I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.  But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.  Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.  Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it. ” ’

******
† Shalom †......! Day #188. Do you know that God knows every single work you do for Him and He also knows that you have hold fast to His name and did not deny the faith you have in Him? Let us pray. Father, help us to hold fast to our faith in You and fervently follow You and never be given into false doctrines.  Holy Spirit, continue to lead us into the right path, teach us Your living Word and reveal to us the hidden things. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, the word of God is a sword, able to slay both sin and sinners. It turns and cuts every way; but the believer need not fear this sword; yet this confidence cannot be supported without steady obedience. As our Lord notices all the advantages and opportunities we have for duty in the places where we dwell, so he notices our temptations and discouragements from the same causes. In a situation of trials, the church of Pergamos had not denied the faith, either by open apostacy, or by giving way so as to avoid the cross. Christ commends their stedfastness, but reproves their sinful failures. A wrong view of gospel doctrine and Christian liberty, was a root of bitterness from which evil practices grew. Repentance is the duty of churches and bodies of men, as well as of particular persons; those who sin together, should repent together. Here is the promise of favour to those that overcome. The influences and comforts of the Spirit of Christ, come down from heaven into the soul, for its support. This is hidden from the rest of the world. The new name is the name of adoption; when the Holy Spirit shows His  own work in the believer's soul, this new name and its real import are understood by Him.

As we continue to be faithful toward God and the call He placed in our lives, let us not be a compromising church, allowing sin to take dominion and at the same time doing the works of God. No, be not a compromising church but preach the Word of God uncompromisingly. Let us continue to hold fast to the faith we have in God and pursue righteousness. Although we live in world dominated by the devil, yet wherever you are,  you can bring the atmosphere of the heaven to that place because the God has open the heavens above you. The open heaven's is on you. Let it be on earth as it is in heaven! God bless you!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Return to your first love...!

Revelation 2:4-5 NKJV

Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.  Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #187. Do you know that there's a need for everyone of us to return back to our first love? Let us pray. Father, forgive us for neglecting our first love and have strayed away from Your love and truth. Restore unto us the joy of our salvation and renew a right spirit within us. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, Christ keeps an account of every hour's work his servants do for him, and their labour shall not be in vain in the Lord. But it is not enough that we are diligent; there must be bearing patience, and there must be waiting patience. And though we must show all meekness to all men, yet we must show just zeal against their sins. The sin Christ charged this church with, is, not the having left and forsaken the object of love, but having lost the fervent degree of it that at first appeared. Christ is displeased with his people, when he sees them grow remiss and cold toward him. Surely this mention in Scripture, of Christians forsaking their first love, reproves those who speak of it with carelessness, and thus try to excuse indifference and sloth in themselves and others; our Saviour considers this indifference as sinful. They must repent: they must be grieved and ashamed for their sinful declining, and humbly confess it in the sight of God. They must endeavour to recover their first zeal, tenderness, and seriousness, and must pray as earnestly, and watch as diligently, as when they first set out in the ways of God. If the presence of Christ's grace and Spirit is slighted, we may expect the presence of his displeasure.

Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. Return back to the place where you  begin stray awa from the Lord, and from that point allow God to rebuild, restore us once again. Repent and do once again the works you do when you first fell in love with Jesus. Alway remember from where you've fallen, get up and begin to run again instead of enjoying your life in the mud. Amen!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

There will be mockers all around us....!

Jude 1:16-21 NKJV

These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #186. Do you know that in the last days, there will be mockers all around us walking according to their own ungodly lusts? Let us pray. Father, help us to be aware of such people so that we may not walk into their traps but be watchful and alert in prayer. Help us to discern and test every spirits. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends,  false teachers are dreamers; they greatly defile and grievously wound the soul. These teachers are of a disturbed mind and a seditious spirit; forgetting that the powers that be, are ordained of God, Romans 13:1. As to the contest about the body of Moses, it appears that Satan wished to make the place of his burial known to the Israelites, in order to tempt them to worship him, but he was prevented, and vented his rage in desperate blasphemy. This should remind all who dispute never to bring railing charges. Also learn hence, that we ought to defend those whom God owns. It is hard, if not impossible, to find any enemies to the Christian religion, who did not, and do not, live in open or secret contradiction to the principles of natural religion. Such are here compared to brute beasts, though they often boast of themselves as the wisest of mankind. They corrupt themselves in the things most open and plain. The fault lies, not in their understandings, but in their depraved wills, and their disordered appetites and affections. It is a great reproach, though unjust to religion, when those who profess it are opposed to it in heart and life. The Lord will remedy this in his time and way; not in men's blind way of plucking up the wheat with the tares. It is sad when men begin in the Spirit, and end in the flesh. Twice dead; they had been once dead in their natural, fallen state; but now they are dead again by the evident proofs of their hypocrisy. Dead trees, why cumber they the ground! Away with them to the fire. Raging waves are a terror to sailing passengers; but when they get into port, the noise and terror are ended. False teachers are to expect the worst punishments in this world and in that to come. They glare like meteors, or falling stars, and then sink into the blackness of darkness for ever. We have no mention of the prophecy of Enoch in any other part or place of Scripture; yet one plain text of Scripture, proves any point we are to believe. We find from this, that Christ's coming to judge was prophesied of, as early as the times before the flood. The Lord cometh: what a glorious time will that be! Notice how often the word ungodly is repeated. Many now do not at all refer to the terms godly, or ungodly, unless it be to mock at even the words; but it is not so in the language taught us by the Holy Ghost. Hard speeches of one another, especially if ill-grounded, will certainly come into account at the day of judgment. These evil men and seducers are angry at every thing that happens, and never pleased with their own state and condition. Their will and their fancy, are their only rule and law. Those who please their sinful appetites, are most prone to yield to ungovernable passions. The men of God, from the beginning of the world, have declared the doom denounced on them. Such let us avoid. We are to follow Christ.

Sensual men separate from Christ, and his church, and join themselves to the devil, the world, and the flesh, by ungodly and sinful practices. That is infinitely worse than to separate from any branch of the visible church on account of opinions, or modes and circumstances of outward government or worship. Sensual men have not the spirit of holiness, which whoever has not, does not belong to Christ. The grace of faith is most holy, as it works by love, purifies the heart, and overcomes the world, by which it is distinguished from a false and dead faith. Our prayers are most likely to prevail, when we pray in the Holy Ghost, under his guidance and influence, according to the rule of his word, with faith, fervency, and earnestness; this is praying in the Holy Ghost. And a believing expectation of eternal life will arm us against the snares of sin: lively faith in this blessed hope will help us to mortify our lusts. We must watch over one another; faithfully, yet prudently reprove each other, and set a good example to all about us. This must be done with compassion, making a difference between the weak and the wilful. Some we must treat with tenderness. Others save with fear; urging the terrors of the Lord. All endeavours must be joined with decided abhorrence of crimes, and care be taken to avoid whatever led to, or was connected with fellowship with them, in works of darkness, keeping far from what is, or appears to be evil.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Do not imitate what is evil...!

3 John 1:11 NKJV

Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.

******
† Shalom †......! Day #185. Do you know that he or she who does evil has not seen God? Let us pray. Father, let us not imitate evil and do evil, but do what pleases You. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Friends, Jesus said in Matthew 5:8  "Blessed [are] the pure in heart, For they shall see God." And again in this verse today apostle John is telling us those who do evil has not seen God. A pure heart is not an evil heart, therefore only the pure in heart will see God. It means also he or she pure in their motives in serving God and serving one another,  serving with all humbleness, serving in and with love, walking right with God. Evil-workers vainly pretend or boast acquaintance with God. Let us not follow that which is proud, selfish, and of bad design, though the example may be given by persons of rank and power; but let us be followers of God, and walk in love, after the example of our Lord.

Beloved, follow not that which is evil,.... Follow not evil in general, it being hateful to God, contrary to His  nature and will, and bad in itself, as well as pernicious in its consequences; and particularly follow not, or do not imitate the particular evil or evils in Diotrephes; as his pride, ambition, love of preeminence, and tyrannical government in the church, and especially his hard heartedness, cruelty, and inhospitality to the poor saints; and so the Arabic version reads, "do not imitate him in evil"; the examples of persons in office and authority have great influence. But that which is good; follow and imitate that, be a follower of God, imitate Him in acts of kindness and beneficence, be merciful as He is; copy the deeds of Jesus Christ, who went about doing good, and declared it to be more blessed to give than to receive; and tread in the steps of those good men, who have shown love to the name of Christ, by ministering to his saints; for though the apostle may mean everything that is good, which is to be followed and imitated in any, yet he chiefly designs acts of kindness and beneficence to poor saints and ministers: to which he encourages by the following, he that doeth good is of God; he is a child of God, he appears to be so, in that he is like to his heavenly Father, who is kind and merciful; he is born of God, he is passed from death to life, which his love to the brethren shows; he has the grace of God, and strength from Christ, and the assistance of the Spirit, without either of which he could not do that which is good. Amen...!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
