Who's side are you...?

II Chronicles 15:1-2, 7 NKJV

Now the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded. And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him: “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord  is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!”

******
Shalom! Day #181. Do you know that the Lord is with you, He is on your side while you are with Him? Let's pray. Father, we want to be found in You, standing firm in You. Strengthen us from inside out. Who can be against us when You are with me? We declare this today. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Many quote this scripture wrongly "If my God is for me, who can be against me?" Actually, when you are found in God's side, when you are with the Lord, then the Lord is with You. Jesus said,  "abide in Me and I in you" and not the other way round. When you are with God, it's about result oriented, it's about progress and growth and it means that there's no place for laziness. It also means that when you are with God, you must keep on moving forward. In every written accounts about all those mighty men of God in the bible, when they engaged in wars after inquiring the Lord, they saw victory after victory because they want to be in the Lord's side. Who's side are you today?

In today's verse, it is written that "But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!" It simply means that do not falter when you are pursuing something together with God, continue to stand strong and stand firm. It is also written in I Corinthians 15:58 NKJV Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Wow... what a promise! When you are always on-the-go for God and constantly doing His works and being in God's side, lo and behold your labor is not in vain in the Lord! Hallelujah! You move wherever the Lord moves! Your works are rewarded when you work with God, together with God.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Code of ethics...!

II Chronicles 13:12 NKJV

Now look, God Himself is with us as our  head, and His priests with sounding trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the Lord God of your fathers, for you shall not prosper!”

******
Shalom! Day #180. Do you know that God being our head, we are responsible to Him for the things which He has entrusted to us? Let's pray. Father, forgive us for slacking in our responsibilities towards the things which You have entrusted to us. Holy Spirit help us to be more disciplined and responsible in serving You. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Now, many servants of God and ministers of God slack in this area, responsibilities and discipline. With a carefree attitude they serve. They think they aren't responsible over the ministries God gave them, over the people, to the pastor. They feel like if they are not there, well they don't have to tell or inform to anyone if they cannot attend a certain meetings or even to church services. I am responsible for the things that God has entrusted to me. I must make sure it is in progress. I must make sure if I am not there or even not able to be there, I must inform the leadership of the church,  or the pastor. God entrusted us with His ministry, and the progress of the ministry is on our hands, how are we going to be responsible over it if in this little things itself we aren't responsible and no discipline in it?

God is once more reminding us, to wake up and look into our discipline and responsibilities in the things He has entrusted to us, and we to others. If we do not want to held responsible over things then it's simple, do not be involved in anything. Do ask God to give you a ministry, don't ask God to put you in a position in the church. You may say that you are new, but this are basis of ministry. God wants you to prosper and progress in the ministry, life, work,  studies, family and in everything you do and be involved in, but if we are careless in this few things , how do you expect to see all this? The progress? Can continue to dream on...! Remember God hold us responsible over the things He has entrusted to us. Be responsible and have some good attitude and be disciplined in working out the things He has entrusted to us.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

To walk in humbleness of heart before God...!

II Chronicles 7:14-18 NKJV

if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments, then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ‘You shall not fail to  have a man as ruler in Israel.’

******
Shalom! Day #179. Do you know in order to come to a successful and significant place in our lives, it must with Humbleness? Let's pray. Father, we come to You in repentance as we humble ourselves and seeks Your face. Create in us a humble heart as we continue to prosper in our lives and ministry. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

In the book of James 4:10 says that, "humble yourself before the Lord and He will lift you up in the eyes of man." Behind every successful people, there's a humble beginning. For you to be a successful person, there should be not just a humble beginning but to remain humble no matter how successful you become. Many people when they've become so successful in work, ministry and life, they began to have some pride in them, they tend to forget from where they started,  they forget who they were before all this success came. They strive for a name and fame. They have to fight for success. But people who humble themselves before God, will be lifted up before man.

This is again the story of Solomon. How he humbled himself before God and how God gave him success in everything he did. Humbleness is the beginning of everything,  be it success, healing, blessings, revival and restoration. You can't pray with a heart that's filled with pride. As you walk in humbleness of heart before God, success, blessings, promotions, healing, restoration and revival will overtake you and overflow on you.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

The Lord knows the intentions of your heart...!

I Chronicles 28:9-10, 20 NKJV

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever. Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.” And David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God—my God— will  be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord .

******
Shalom! Day #178. Do you know that the Lord has chosen you and He searches the heart and understands the intention of our thoughts? Let's pray. Father, thank You for chosen us. Lord, search our hearts and know our intentions that we may not serve You with our personal agenda, but with Your agenda. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

You should know this truth, that the Lord has chosen you and at the same time the Lord knows with what motives you are serving Him either with His agenda or we have our own agenda. The Lord chose us not because we are so good and talented,  but because of His grace and mercy towards us and that He wants us to fulfil His will and plans.

In today's verse, we read about all the instructions given by David to his son, Solomon. He is explaining to Solomon that it was the Lord who choses him to build the house for God. What a privilege. We are privileged to be chosen by God who has called us by our name to serve Him. Therefore we are to serve Him, with all our hearts and be loyal to Him. Single hearted and single minded. Apostle Paul says for me to live is Christ and to die is gain. He is able to declare such statement because he knows that it wasn't by his good conducts or by all the theological knowledge he has that the Lord has chosen him. But because of grace and mercy towards him. The calling of God upon your life isn't a temporary thing.  The fulfilment of your calling is when you accomplished the things the Lord has commanded you to do and till then He will never leave you nor forsakes you. So serve Him with all your heart because He knows the intentions of your heart.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

And you may prosper...!

I Chronicles 22:11-13, 19 NKJV

Now, my son, may the Lord be with you; and may you prosper, and build the house of the Lord your God, as He has said to you. Only may the Lord  give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the Lord your God. Then you will prosper, if you take care to fulfill the statutes and judgments with which the Lord charged Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and of good courage; do not fear nor be dismayed. Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God. Therefore arise and build the sanctuary of the Lord God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the holy articles of God into the house that is to be built for the name of the Lord .”

******
Shalom!  Day #177. Do you know that God intends to prosper you wherever you are and in whatever you do? Let's pray. Father, as we walk rightly and faithfully before You, let us not live just to seek and receive blessings from You, but above all else that we may see You wholeheartedly and keep all Your ways and fulfil Your will and plans for our lives. Thank You for Your blessings.  In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

The fact is, when God is with you, when the presence of God is with you, wherever you are,  you will prosper. God is able to cause you to prosper, have favor, be victorious in anywhere He places you and in any situations you are right now. Again the key here is THE PRESENCE OF GOD. When the ark of God was with David, he prospered in everything he ventured in and conquered many nations. When the presence of God is with you, you will continue to experience growth, experience victory, experience blessings and many more.

In today's verse,  be made known to you that our God is a promise keeping God. He never ever once broke the promises He has made. The second key is when you take care to fulfill the statutes and judgments of God. First is the presence of God,  second is the statutes and judgements of God.  Do not be conformed into the ways of the heathens at anywhere God has placed you. Always remember that you have the power to cause a place to either prosper or be damned. Why because if the presence of God is with you and you live rightly before the Lord, the Lord hears your prayers and will do it. But the only thing is that you don't give yourself to follow the ways of the heathens. Whether in workplace, or schools, or university or wherever you, remain a follower of Christ and live rightly before the Lord.

Seek Him more....!

I Chronicles 16:10-11 NKJV

Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord ! Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore!

******
Shalom! Day #176. Do you know that your first priority as a believer is to seek the Lord first? Let's pray. Father, create in us a heart that would continually seek You first in every events of our lives. Forgive us for not making You as our first priority. Teach us Lord, give us wisdom and understanding as we seek You more and more. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 NKJV But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Why do you need to seek the Lord? Why there's a necessity to seek the Lord? Unbelievers need to seek God because sin separates them from God,  they will be exposed to he wrath of God,  they will continue to misunderstand Scriptures. Believers should seek the Lord because He wants to conform us into the likeness of His Son. Before we do anything, or even make any decisions pertaining to our life, family and ministry, we must inquire God first.  We must seek the Lord's counsel first. Because,  wise decision is made when the Lord is the one who directs our path.

We must seek God...

"A. With All Our Hearts (Jer. 29:10). God must be our priority if we want to know Him intimately. This means we must confess our sins and submit to His will (Isa. 55:6-7). Nothing should take precedence over to the treasure we have in Christ.

B. Diligently (Prov. 8:17). A true desire to know God means we put all other things aside and aren’t distracted.

C. Continually (Ps. 105:4). Nothing is too insignificant to be lifted to God in prayer. We must seek His mind about decisions and plans in our lives.

D. Confidently (Heb. 11:6). God wants to speak to all believers and work in their lives. Know that the Father will provide His best at the right time.

E. Humbly (Ps. 10:4). The only assurance we have in life is Jesus. Failing to recognize our dependence on Him can make us arrogant and deserving of reprimand."

(Excerpts from intouch.org)

Seek the Lord with a rejoiced heart. Seek the Lord's face so that His glory shall shine upon you. Many people like to seek the hands of God because from there comes blessings but they failed to seek His face, His heart beat. God wants an intimate relationship with us and that's the very reason we must seek the Lord. Only God knows everything about our lives, therefore we must seek Him daily,  seek His more to get the answers for the mystery of our lives. Are we seeking God today? This is a call for this generation to turn back to God and begin to seek Him wholeheartedly, diligently, continually, confidently and humbly.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

There's power in praise and worship...!

I Chronicles 13:8 NKJV

Then David and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with singing, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on cymbals, and with trumpets.

******
Shalom! Day #175. Do you know that there's power in praise and worship? Let's pray.  Father, there is wonder working power in praise and worship. Therefore Lord, allow us to come and worship You in spirit and in truth. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Jesus said in John 4:22-24 NKJV You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.  But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. Well, everyone knows that David was a man after God's own heart. Bearing this in mind, we must know David gave his all, his utmost,  his very best to God in worship. I can say that he truly "did it for God" and not just claiming that he did it for God. A conviction from the Holy Spirit.  Many things we do, we say we do it for the Lord. Example we imitate the worldly ways to praise God. We imitate the environment and atmosphere to worship God (example : the lighting efx, the way we worship lead or may be putting up a show there, even the dance we used in doing performance in church) Are we really doing it for God? Think about it. No, I'm not against it and you don't have to agree with me.

Worship is powerful and power-filled. When you praise and worship in the midst of every situations of your life, you are actually waging war against the devil. I've been in the worship ministry almost 17 years now and I've witness how God moves in praise and worship. A power packed praise and worship, inspired by the Holy Spirit and anointed by God! People receive healings during praise and worship. Demons flee, deliverance during praise and worship. I can give you testimonies upon testimonies. Prayer and worship is your weapons of mass destruction. If you read in the book of psalms, king David praise and worshipped God in every situations of his life. Prayer, praise and worship must be our lifestyle and not just a routine. If you haven't cultivate this lifestyle, then better start doing it now and you will witness how God moves in praise and worship and in every situations of your life.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Broken and beautiful...!

II Kings 22:19-20 NKJV

because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they would become a desolation and a curse, and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you, ” says the Lord . “Surely, therefore, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace; and your eyes shall not see all the calamity which I will bring on this place.” ’ ” So they brought back word to the king.

******
Shalom! Day #174. Do you know that humbleness is the key and the beginning of healing and restoration? Let's pray. Father, as we humble ourselves and come before You in repentance, Lord come and heal us, restore us and revive us. Thank You Jesus. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

You may ask why Humbleness? The answer is simple, you won't be able to repent with all your heart if you don't humble yourselves before God. Humbleness is the beginning of true repentance. When you humble yourselves before God, He hears your prayers. Many people, they are very hard to be broken, they are to puffed up and they think why I should bow to God. But when God began to break them, they utterly be shattered into pieces.

The birth of Josiah was predicted years before he was born. God began to use him and established him as a king at the age of 8. Josiah feared the Lord and did right in the sight of the Lord. When God was about to bring calamity upon the inhabitants, Josiah heard the word of God and he responded to it.  He tore his clothes and wept and prayed. Kings normally wears their kingly robes and what Josiah did was something we must learn. He tore his robes,  meaning to say he stripped off himself to nothing before God.  Stripped off his title as a king, stripped off his throne and humbled himself before God. Many people, when they are encountered by God, they still stand before God with all of their glory and splendor. There's nothing to hard for God that canmot be broken, yet He is a gentle God who doesn't force His way on His children. God hears the prayers of a humbled heart. You talents, giftings are all from God , there's nothing to be proud off, God deserves all the glory not you. Use your talents and giftings to glorify God and not yourself be glorified. When you come before God, stripped yourself before God. Remember you are just a human being before God, created from the dust, but then God chose you for a greater purpose.

James 4:10 NKJV

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Set your house in order...!

II Kings 20:1-6 NKJV

In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord : ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.’ ” Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord , saying, “Remember now, O Lord , I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what  was good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. And it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord , the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord . And I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David.” ’ ”

******
Shalom! Day #173. Do you know that God's desire is that you set in order everything about your life, ministry, family and everything else? Let's pray. Father, give us wisdom and knowledge to set in order everything about our lives,  ministry, family. Help us to walk accordingly to Yout word and statutes. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Set in order? What do I need to set in order? Yes we must set in order our house. No, I don't mean that you need to decorate your house or to renovate our house. What I meant was to put in order the leadership of the house of God. To put in order our lives before the Lord. To put in order the statutes of God in our church, ministry and every thing God has entrusted to us. God is near to those who walk in the ways of God and when you pray, God answers your prayers. Let us draw near to God with a true heart in full assurance of faith.

In today's verse, we see how God warned Hezekiah “Thus says the Lord : Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live." And what happened was Hezekiah fall sick, and he prayed with all his heart to God and God extended another 15 years of his life. If you see in the previous chapters, as soon as Hezekiah began to reign as a king, he reopened the temple of God and began to clean up and set the house of God in order. Because of this act God extended his life and God acknowledges Hezekiah as the "leader of His people." We need to set this generation in order according to the Lord's statutes and commandments, so that God can bring healing into this generation, extends His love towards this generation. Everyone of you who are the leaders of this generation, God is warning us, reminding us to again set in order this generation.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Obedience is the key...!

II Kings 18:1, 3-7 NKJV

Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea the son of Elah, king of Israel, that  Hezekiah the son of Ahaz, king of Judah, began to reign. And he did what  was right in the sight of the Lord , according to all that his father David had done. He removed the high places and broke the sacred pillars, cut down the wooden image and broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made; for until those days the children of Israel burned incense to it, and called it Nehushtan. He trusted in the Lord God of Israel, so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor who were before him. For he held fast to the Lord ; he did not depart from following Him, but kept His commandments, which the Lord had commanded Moses. The Lord  was with him; he prospered wherever he went. And he rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.

******
Shalom! Day #172. Do you know that the key to a prospered life is obedience? Let's pray. Father, we do not want to rebel against You las our forefathers did. Forgive us for sins and trespasses. Create in us a heart that will obey You. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Obedience is the most important attitude a follower must have. In following Jesus, we must obey every of His commandments, so that it will be well with you as you follow the Lord wholeheartedly. Today, we look into the life of Hezekiah. There's a few qualities we will learn and look into today. This are a few of what he did when he began to reign as king. He did what was right in the sight of the Lord. We can apply this qualities as we walk with the Lord daily.

1. He removed.
=> when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the first thing we must do is, to allow the Holy Spirit to remove every infirmity, every wicked ways and everything that's not inline and not pleasing unto God. Hezekiah, as he began to reign, he removed every high places used in worshipping Baal. Broke the sacred pillars, cut down the wooden image and broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made; for until those days the children of Israel burned incense to it, and called it Nehushtan. We must allow the Holy Spirit to utterly destroy every of our wicked ways and begin a new journey with the Lord.

2. He trusted.
=> once we have allowed the Lord to work in our lives, whether in tough and rough situations, whether you are in a painful situation, or even you are at the point of giving up, continue to trust in the Lord,  for He is your only hope for salvation. John 11:40 says, "if you believe then you shall see His glory." Continue to trust in the Lord no matter what your situations may be, just hang on there and never depart from your faith.

3. He held fast.
=> it is written in Hebrews 10:22-23 NKJV that, "let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without doubting, whether is the Lord capable of doing this and that. Hold fast to the faith you have in Christ Jesus. Even if things doesn't go according to how it supposed to be, remain faithful, and hold fast to God for He who promised you is faithful and He will do it. Hezekiah, he held fast to the Lord ; he did not depart from following Him, but kept His commandments, which the Lord had commanded Moses.

4. He prospered.
=> Promotions and blessings comes from the Lord. You don't have to run after those things, but God Himself will cause this things to overflow on you. In all of Hezekiah's life, the Lord  was with him; he prospered wherever he went. The presence of God is important as we walk with God. Without the presence of God, we aren't able to do anything. Hezekiah did nit depart from the presence of God.  He followed God wholeheartedly and God blessed him and prospered him wherever he went.

This are a few of what we can learn from Hezekiah. Are we following the Lord wholeheartedly? Are we holding on to God no matter what the situation may be? Are we walking in all the ways of God and keeping His commandments? If you want to prosper in all your ways as you walk with God, allow Him to do a new work in you first. Allow Him to remove every of your old ways. Allow Him to create a new heart in you.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

God, open our eyes to see...!

II Kings 6:15-18 NKJV

And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “ Lord , I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord  opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. So when the  Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord , and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

******
Shalom! Day #171. Do you know that sometimes we are spiritually blinded from seeing the plans of God for our lives? Let's pray. Father, open the eyes of our hearts Lord, that we may see You and Your plans for us. Heal us from our spiritual blindness so that we may see Your plans and purposes for our lives. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

We sometimes failed to see what God has for us, and every time we keep on asking God to show us His plans for us. What we should do is, ask God  to heal us from our spiritual blindness so that we can see what He has installed for us. As the blind Bartimeaus, was sitting by the road side and he heard that Jesus was passing by, and he shouted with all his heart until Jesus stopped and asked him, "what can I do for you?"  And he replied, "Rabbi,  that I may see." Jesus answered him, "Go, your faith has healed you." Wow... Folks, the key to see God's plans and purposes in our lives is FAITH. Your faith in God will enable you to see a clear vision of His plans and purposes for you.

In today's verse, Elisha's servant was terrified when he saw the army surrounding the place where they were staying and he reacted, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" He was afraid, terrified and petrified. He even could have thought of escaping. But when Elisha saw the army, with all his coolness he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Wow.., and this reminds me of a verse in the bible which says,  "greater is He that's in us than he that's in the world." And again, Elisha is simply declaring that when we are in God's side, who dan be against us? Then what Elisha did next was something no one would do. Elisha prayed, and said, “ Lord , I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord  opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. Wowww... Elisha prayed that the eyes of his servant be opened to see what the Lord has already prepared. Then the servants eyes was opened and he began to understand and was able to see the things God has prepared.   So when the  Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord , and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. Are you praying the same old prayer, "God show me your ways, God show me your plans for my life, God show me the llife partner You have prepared for me?" You should pray, "God open my eyes, that I may see." The key is to have faith to see what God has for you. You can't see the things of God with your carnal mind, but by faith let your eyes be opened to see into the spiritual realm all the things God has prepared for you.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Greed...!

II Kings 5:20-27 NKJV

But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, “Look, my master has spared Naaman this Syrian, while not receiving from his hands what he brought; but as the Lord lives, I will run after him and take something from him.” So Gehazi pursued Naaman. When Naaman saw him running after him, he got down from the chariot to meet him, and said, “ Is all well?” And he said, “All is  well. My master has sent me, saying, ‘Indeed, just now two young men of the sons of the prophets have come to me from the mountains of Ephraim. Please give them a talent of silver and two changes of garments.’ ” So Naaman said, “Please, take two talents.” And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and handed them to two of his servants; and they carried them on ahead of him. When he came to the citadel, he took them from their hand, and stored them away in the house; then he let the men go, and they departed. Now he went in and stood before his master. Elisha said to him, “Where did  you  go, Gehazi?” And he said, “Your servant did not go anywhere.” Then he said to him, “Did not my heart go with  you when the man turned back from his chariot to meet you? Is  it  time to receive money and to receive clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male and female servants? Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and your descendants forever.” And he went out from his presence leprous, as  white as snow.

Shalom! Day #170.  Do you know that greed is the reason why many servants of God fall? Let's pray. Father,  forgive us for being greed in every matter and especially in dealing with money. Forgive us Lord. Set us free from the spirit of greed. In Jesus name we ask and pray, Amen!

Many servants of God fall because of greed, the love for money was too strong, the temptation was so strong until they were desperated situation to put their hands in the weekly offering collections. Greed isn't something new to us, but have we overcome it? Greed is a cancerous cell, if we do not deal with it at the early stage, it will be the only reason for our downfall. Many big time churches are facing lawsuit because of improper handling of church funds. Greed is a sin. Money isn't evil, but the love of money is the root of all evil. People are willing to kill each other just for money. Even the dead opens it mouth if it sees a billion dollars. This is the condition now.

In today's verse we see Gehazi, Elisha's servant, was filled with the spirit of greed. Elisha refused to accept the offerings Naaman presented to Elisha, but Gehazi, ran after Naaman and lied to him saying that Elisha accepts the offerings, and not only that, when Elisha questioned Gehazi, he lied to Elisha as well. I'm not saying that having money is wrong, but the love of money is very much wrong. You cannot serve both mammon and God.

In Merriam-Webster dictionary,  the definition of GREED is
"a selfish and excessive desire for more of something (as money) than is needed."

Why there's greed?

1. How are we handling our finances? Are we spending lavishly like no ones business?

2. To satisfy our fleshy desire,  we go to the extend of taking loans just to look good in the eyes of people.

3. Greed comes after ENVY. We envy another's success and we filled with greed to succeed that person, so what we do? We try to slander that person from every ways.

If you are not careful with your life, you will be trapped in greed. At the end of the day, what happened yo Gehazi was a shameful thing. Do you want this to happen to you and your future generation? Repent immediately! Break the bondage of greed!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Nothingness to something...!

II Kings 4:1-7 NKJV

A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord . And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.” So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.” Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.” So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the  vessels to her; and she poured it out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “ There  is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”

******
Shalom! Day #169. Do you know that out of nothing, God can create something? Let's pray. Father, You are the miracle working God. You can create something from nothing. We surrender our lives to You, so that You would create something out of it. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

When God created the world, it was void, empty, nothing. From nothingness He created you and me, the whole universe and every living being. When you are empty before God, from nothingness in you, God is able to create something extraordinary. There's a verse in bible which says, "what good can come out of Nazareth?" You may think what good can come out of you. Let me tell you something. When you empty yourselves before God and allow Him to do a new work in you, out of nothingness,  there can be something with God!

In today's verse we see a situation whereby a widow came to Elisha for help. A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord . And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.” She came and poured her sorrows and her problems to Elisha. The only question Elisha asked her was, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” Today God is asking us the same question.  What do you have? God asked Moses, what do you have and Moses gave his staff and God did wonders through that staff. The boy with 5 loaves and 2 fish came to Jesus with what he had, and God turn it into an extraordinary miracle. You may think there's nothing to you, but actually you don't know that you have something which nobody has. The nothing you have can be something wonderful in the hands of God.

The anointing of God upon our lives...!

II Kings 2:9, 15, 19-22 NKJV

And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.” Now when the sons of the prophets who were  from Jericho saw him, they said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him. Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Please notice, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the ground barren.” And he said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, “Thus says the Lord : ‘I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’ ” So the water remains healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.

******
Shalom! Day #168. Do you know that the anointing of God is much more important for a servant of God rather what the world can offer to him or her? Let's pray. Father, one thing we ask of You today is that You would anoint us with the fullness of Your anointing,  a double portion of Your anointing to rest upon us. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

For every servants of God, without the anointing of God they are just nothing. They cannot do anything. There's no power and authority in them although they acknowledge themselves as he servants of God. Even, Jesus before He started His ministry, He went into into the wilderness and fasted and prayed for 40 days and nights. When Jesus was baptized in the river of Jordan,  the Holy Spirit came upon Him as a dove. David was anointed by the prophet Samuel before he was established as a king. For us to do the works of God, there must be the anointing of God! Without the anointing we are not able to function. The anointing of God is important for us.

Elisha realized this truth and the only thing he ask of Elijah was the double portion of his spirit upon Elisha. In today's verse, we can see what did the anointing of God was able to do through Elisha. Before Elisha can begin his own ministry, he must be anointed by the Holy Spirit of God. Elisha was a servant to Elijah first, before he was anointed to be a prophet. One thing Elisha ask of Elijah was “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.” He did not ask for fame and a greater name, neither position nor title, but the double portion of the Spirit of God. Well, what happened next? The moment Elisha was anointed,  God used him to perform a miracle through him. Now, for every problem there's always a source of where it all started. God used Elisha to solve a problem with the water. What Elisha did next was really out of mind. And he said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, “Thus says the Lord : ‘I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’ ” So the water remains healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke. Wow... this was the first miracle Elisha perform through the power of God. If God permits, I shall speak on this another day. Today the focus is upon the anointing of God upon our lives. Are you doing the ministry under the anointing of God or you just somehow trying to do it the way it pleases you and your ministry is powerless? A powerless ministry is a fruitless ministry.

Just a prayer away...!

I Kings 19:4-10 NKJV

But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, Lord , take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!” Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.” Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again. And the angel of the Lord came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.” So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God. And there he went into a cave, and spent the night in that place; and behold, the word of the Lord  came to him, and He said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” So he said, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.”

******
Shalom! Day #167. Do you know that God is able to supply everything you need, able to create the miracle you need as well as making every impossible situations possible? Let's pray. Father, we understood that the answer for every of our question, problems are just a prayer away. Therefore Lord, give Your ears to our prayers and deliver us from every forms of attacks, persecution and trials. In Jesus name we ask and pray, Amen!

Having faith means isn't about God fulfilling your desires, but instead it is about witnessing what God is able to do in every impossible situations of our life. The answers to every problems we are facing now is just a prayer away. When you pray, God hears, answers and creates a miracle. When you pray, God gives you the solution for every impossible situations of our lives. When you pray, God provides what you need in order to carry on.

In today's verse, Elijah prayed a cowards prayer that he may die because Jezebelle was after his life. But there's a twist here. God did not grant Elijah his prayer, but instead He sent an angel and the angel said “Arise and eat.” Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again. And the angel of the Lord came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.” So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God." Many of us like to find an easy way out of every problems we are facing. We try to run away from the problem instead of solving it. That's the same case of Elijah. God sends an angel to replenish him, to provide food for him because the journey is too great. It means the problems which he will be facing is great and may be he might falter and give up. So, God strengthened Elijah, gave him strength to carry on. Many of us give up and try to run away from problems because we are afraid to face the outcome. If you believe that God is anle to create a miracle for you, then stay put and see the Lord's deliverance. God works not according to your desires, but creating miracles in every impossible situations of our lives.
We ran away from the problems, we think that it is solved, but God came looking for you in that problem and asks is, "what are you doing here?" God has a plan for you in that problem, but we tend to run away. When the storm came, the disciples were so worried that they might die, but Jesus was sleeping peacefully, and when the disciples woke Him up, Jesus calmed the storm first then He rebuked the disciples for their lack of faith. Never jump out of the boat, because Jesus is with you in that same boat. He can and is able to create a miracle for you if you are with Him, walking in His plans and purposes for you.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

What are you doing?

I Kings 18:25-28, 36-39 NKJV

Now Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under  it. ” So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, “O Baal, hear us!” But there  was  no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made. And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, “Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened.” So they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them. And it came to pass, at the  time  of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “ Lord  God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that  I have done all these things at Your word. Hear me, O Lord , hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to  You again.” Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord , He is God! The Lord , He is God!”

******
Shalom! Day #166. Do you know that it is important that you know who you are serving and worshipping? Let's pray. Father we acknowledge Your lordship over us and that You are the One and only true living God and that You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and there's no god besides You. There's no any miracle worker but You, our Miracle Maker.  We thank You for the privilege given to be called Your sons and daughters. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

There's a lot of difference between our God and the false gods. Many people say that this is their gods and so on, but let me tell you something. THERE'S NO ANY OTHER GOD, ANY OTHER TRUE AND LIVING GOD LIKE MY GOD, THE GOD WHOM I SERVE AND WORSHIP! There's a lot of people worshipping this and that, even stones, trees and animalscan be a god for them,  not forgetting the moon "god", the sun "god" and so on. And from there come all the fake religion, false religion, false god, false prophets. So it is Baal worshippers.

In today's verse, Elijah challenged Ahab and all the prophets of Baal. Even Elijah ridiculed and made fun of their so called god. They shouted, cried but nothing happened. But when Elijah called upon the name of God, then fire came down from heaven and consumed all the burn sacrifice. At that point the people began to see who the real God is and began to repent and call upon the name of God and they began to proclaim the the lordship of God! Wow! It takes a miracle to change the people and to come out of their spiritual blindness. What are you doing today in this generation that's worshipping almost everything they can worship? They forsake the Creator and worshipped the creation. Are you being a witnessed of the Lord our God and proclaiming His greatness and His name to this blinded generation? What are you doing?

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

What do you have...?

I Kings 17:12-16, 24 NKJV

So she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.” And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’ ” So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days. The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah. Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now by this I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is the truth.”

******
Shalom! Day #165. Do you know that God is able to create a miracle with what you have now? Let's pray. Father, we give to You what we have, turn it into miracle and use it for the glory of Your name. In Jesus name we ask and pray,  amen!

Your life in the hands of God, is a wonderful thing. He creates the Master's piece out of your life. The Master's touch upon your life. What do you have now, give it to God and He's able to create an extraordinary miracle out of it. When you think, "oh this is it, I am done, there's nothing good in me, such a looser, worthless, useless," let me tell you something. Miracles happens when you stop leaning on your own strength and abilities and surrender to God and let Him to take over and to create a miracle. Every hopeless situation is a hopeful situation in God's hand.

In today's verse, we can see how Elijah instructed the widow to bake some cake for him first, but the widow replied him saying that she only have a handful of flour and a little bit of oil and that's the last meal they are going to have and then die. It means that she is simply agreeing to her situation that she has nothing left for her and her son and it better to die than to live. But when God brought Elijah into the situation of the widows life, and she began to do according to everything Elijah instructed, she began to witness a miracle. As I said earlier,  when you are at the very point of giving up, God is able to create a miracle. Lean not on your own understanding, strength and wisdom but allow God to take over. What you have is just more than enough for God to create a miracle. Miracle happens when you believe. Miracle happens when you are willing to let go and let God. Miracle happens when you are willing to see like how God sees in every situations.

Lead with reverence unto God...!

I Kings 16:1-4, 7 NKJV

Then the word of the Lord came to Jehu the son of Hanani, against Baasha, saying: “Inasmuch as I lifted you out of the dust and made you ruler over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made My people Israel sin, to provoke Me to anger with their sins, surely I will take away the posterity of Baasha and the posterity of his house, and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat. The dogs shall eat whoever belongs to Baasha and dies in the city, and the birds of the air shall eat whoever dies in the fields.” And also the word of the Lord came by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha and his house, because of all the evil that he did in the sight of the Lord in provoking Him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he killed them.

******
Shalom! Day #164. Do you know that when God has entrusted His people to you as a leader over them and you lead them to commit sin, their blood is upon you and great is the judgement that's upon you? Let's pray. Father,  as we continue to lead and be responsible over the ministries as well as the congregation that You have entrusted to us, help us to lead with all reverence unto You and that we may not stray away from Your statutes and commandments and that we may not be the instrument that would cause Your people to stumble and fall. Forgive us for our carelessness. In Jesus name we ask and pray, Amen!

It is important that we evaluate the way we lead God's people so that we may not be a stumbling block to them. It's important that we check our ways first, to allow the Holy Spirit of God to search our hearts that there may not be sin in our lives. As a leader, we must be an example to the followers. As we imitate Christ, they should imitate and live a blameless life. If there's sin in the camp, then it will affect whole group of followers. If the leader ia not living a godly life, how can he or she expect the followers to live a godly life? Think about it. A leader is a person who walks the talk, not just talking and giving instructions, but doing it. Practice what you preach.

In today's verse we see how God was provoked to anger because of what Baasha did. He lead his people to sin. And then the word of the Lord came to Jehu the son of Hanani, against Baasha, saying: “Inasmuch as I lifted you out of the dust and made you ruler over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made My people Israel sin, to provoke Me to anger with their sins, surely I will take away the posterity of Baasha and the posterity of his house, and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat. If we lead the people that God has entrusted to into living a life filled with sin, we as a leader are accountable for it because godly life begins from the leadership then to the followers.  Be an example to them. Lead he people of God in fear and reverence unto God.

The Lord became angry...!

I Kings 11:9-11 NKJV

So the Lord became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the Lord God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice, and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; but he did not keep what the Lord had commanded. Therefore the Lord said to Solomon, “Because you have done this, and have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.

******
Shalom! Day #163. Do you know that the Lord is angry with you if you turn away from the Lord and be given into worshipping other gods and giving yourself into idol worship? Let's pray. Father, forgive us today for turning away from You, and begin to worship man made gods. Forgive us for leaving the Truth and given into the  worldly fables.  Restore to us our first love. Come and heal us today we pray. In jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Do you think that it pleases the heart of God to see His children's going astray? In the new testament, for that one sheep that's gone astray, He was willing to go and search for it. How much more we are in the eyes of the Lord? We have known the truth,  we have seen the mighty works of God, we have even witnessed and give testimonies of the miraculous works of God in our lives, yet still still we choose to turn away from the Lord, because there's no intimacy with the Lord. We profess to know the Lord, but in action we failed.

In today's verse we see how did Solomon turned away from the Lord despite all the warnings God gave him. We are nothing more less to what Solomon went through. For example,  when we see the unbelievers getting blessed abundantly, we envy them and we questioned God, why am I not blessed abundantly like them? And we come to conclusion, "whether I go to church or not, my condition remains the same only." To answer this question, you must read James 4:2-3. Many people turns away from the Lord simply because they want all the easy way and not willing to pay the price for it, so what happens? They began to drift away little by little. Little by little they began to believe in the man made gods for answers, miracles, 4 digit numbers, wealth and many more. And the Lord says, “Because you have done this, and have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant." Tear down everything you have. Destroy everything you have.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Walk in integrity and truthfulness...!

I Kings 9:4-5 NKJV

Now if you walk before Me as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments, then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, saying, ‘You shall not fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’

******
Shalom! Day #162. Do you know that the Lord requires us to walk in the integrity and in uprightness of our heart? Let's pray. Father, let integrity be established in our hearts. Let us honor the word we speak and the promises we make to people. Help us to be truthful to our words. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

A leader who does not honors their word is a useless leader. There's no integrity and truthfulness in him or her. Be it spiritual leadership or even the politicians, if you aren't a man of your word, people will not respect you at all. You promised one thing, but doing another thing. Sad to say that the believers and many Christian leaders are adopting this worldly symptom into their lives. For them it's like "it's okay what." You want people to respect you,  but you aren't showing them a good example to follow and at the end of the day the people,  the congregation loses their trust in you. Your talk and actions aren't the same. You still be able to rule, but according to all your devious ways and not God's ways. A person with integrity of heart and truthful will always have favor from people and God. If he's a believer, then God will cause him or her to prosper and to lead exceedingly excellent leadership.

In today's verse we see that God is telling to Solomon, "Now if you walk before Me as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments, then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, saying, ‘You shall not fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’" Promotion is from God. For us to continue to flourish and prosper in the things that the Lord has entrusted to us, we must walk in integrity and not be a doubled tongued person, and have an upright and truthful attitude and not a filthy and useless attitude. People must be able trust us. You must earn the Trust and respect of the people and not by forcing them to respect you. How do you walk in integrity and truthful?

1. When you promised something, better do it.

2. Be transparent and honest.

3. Remain humble and kind to everyone. If they hurt you, be kind to them, but if they hurt the church then you must take some action.

4. Lead by example. Be a servant leader and not a boss leader.

This is a few of the many other characteristics you must have. As you continue in this, God will continue to establish you in everything you do.

Proverbs 20:7 NKJV

"The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him."

Incline your hearts to God...!

I Kings 8:57-58, 61 NKJV

May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us, that He may incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, which He commanded our fathers. Let your heart therefore be loyal to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day.”

******
Shalom! Day #161. Do you know that when we incline our hearts to God and always draw closer to Himself, you will literally have the attitude of seriousness and a loyal heart to God? Let's pray. Father,  draw us close to You, and never let us go on our own ways, the ways of destruction. Lord cultivate in us a pure, sincere and a loyal heart towards You. In Jesus name we ask and pray, Amen!

In James 4:8 NKJV it is written that "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." As I've mentioned always, God is only interested in your heart. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. The word incline means : to bend forward or to cause (something) to bend forward, to lean or slope, to cause (someone) to want to do something or to be likely to do something. To incline our hearts to God means to lean or to bend our hearts towards God and His statutes. We must bend or lean our hearts to God and obey His commandments and walk according to His ways. Right now, I can say that this generation,  they given or shall I say they have "sold" their hearts to the world and not fully given to God.

Today's verse stated that " Let your heart therefore be loyal to the Lord our God.." Be loyal to one master and not many. Be loyal to God and not mammon. God is interested in your hearts being loyal and faithful towards Him and not to the world. He seek out your heart, He is reaching out to your hearts today, so that He can have that special relationship with you. The Lord says in Matthew 7:24 NKJV “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:" "Whoever hears these saying of Mine..." it means whether you are a believer or unbeliever, if you incline your hearts to God and listen to His voice and commandments therefore all your ways shall be blessed. This is an invitation to everyone, not just believers. When you draw yourself to God, abide in Him and continue to live and walk according to all His ways, therefore you shall prosper in every ways of your life. Repent,  return,  rebuild in the Lord.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

The presence of God in you...!

I Kings 6:12-13 NKJV

“ Concerning this temple which you are building, if you walk in My statutes, execute My judgments, keep all My commandments, and walk in them, then I will perform My word with you, which I spoke to your father David. And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake My people Israel.”

******
Shalom! Day #160. Do you know that the Lord dwells amongst His people when they walk in His statutes and obey Him? Let's pray. Father,  let Your presence to dwell in Your temple and never depart.  Take not Your Holy Spirit from us. As we continue to walk in Your ways and obey Your commandments, let us continuously to experience Your presence in our life daily. In Jesus name we ask and pray, Amen!

The bible says that we are the temple of God. A temple where a sacrifice is daily lifted up to the Lord, we as the living sacrifice for God. As we continue to allow the Lord to work in us, we would experience Him more and more. What kind of aroma are we to God? Without the presence of God in our lives, we are just like zombies,  dead body walking. The Lord dwells in His temple. To experience the presence of God, one needs to sanctify the temple of God first. King Hezekiah, in first year of his reign, he began to open the temple of God and begin the cleansing and sanctification works. You can read this in 2 chronicles 29. When a person repented from every of his wicked ways and turn back to God,  the first thing he or she must do is to sanctify the temple of God, which is their body, the living temple of God. Meaning to say that they must allow the Holy Spirit of God to sanctify them thoroughly and clean them up so that the presence of God will dwell in them.

In today's verse, we can see that there's a promise God made to Solomon.  And the Lord says, “ Concerning this temple which you are building, if you walk in My statutes, execute My judgments, keep all My commandments, and walk in them, then I will perform My word with you, which I spoke to your father David. And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake My people Israel.” If a repented person, turns back from their wicked ways and begin to seek God with all their heart, spirit, body and soul, then God will come and make home with them. A person who turns back from his wicked ways and coming to God in total surrender is like a person who is building the temple of God. Building the temple is one thing and the presence of God in that temple is another things. Anybody anyone can build a temple, but is God there? I'm speaking about the spiritual temple of God. For the presence of God to abide in the temple, the temple must abide in God first. Jesus said, "abide in Me, and I in you." When the church of God begin to walk in all the ways of God, obeying His commandments, therefore the presence of God will dwell in them and among them.

Wisdom and understanding...!

I Kings 4:29-30 NKJV

And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt.

******
Shalom! Day #159. Do you know that you too can have exceedingly great wisdom and understanding just like Solomon? Let's pray. Father, Your word says, ask and it shall be given, therefore we ask of You today, give us wisdom and understanding. Thank You Lord. In Jesus name we ask and pray, Amen!

Solomon, a man with exceedingly great understanding and wisdom with a big and generous heart I shall say. There's no one with such wisdom. Because of the wisdom he has, many came to hear him speak. In James 1:5 NKJV it's written If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Yes, if you lack wisdom then ask of God and He shall give it to you freely just as Solomon received.

The genuineness of our heart...!

I Kings 3:3, 7-14 NKJV

And Solomon loved the Lord , walking in the statutes of his father David, except that he sacrificed and burned incense at the high places. Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how  to go out or come in. And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

******
Shalom! Day #158. Do you know that you must make a clear request before the Lord, even though the Lord knows the intention of our heart, the Lord still wants us to be specific with our request? Let's pray. Father,  as Solomon prayed, give us wisdom and understanding to differentiate good and evil, truth and lies. Give us wisdom like no one. We do not seek the riches of this world, but we seek the riches of Your kingdom. Impart to us Your wisdom,  knowledge and understanding. In Jesus name we ask and we pray, Amen!

What's our motives in requesting from God. Don't just blindly follow God and blindly receive anything from God. Solomon after been crowned as a king, the first thing he requested was "an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil." Solomon was a wise king, even the bookmof proverbs was written by Solomon. Solomon was a man who is "straight-to-the-point." He doesn't beat around the bush but boldly spoke forth what he wants from God. Do you know what's the reason are you serving God today or just because others are serving so you want to serve as well?

Solomon asked for understanding, but apart of that God gave him abundance every other things which he did not ask. Your attitude towards God is the same attitude you would with one another. If you aren't transparent before God, then its hard for you to be transparent before man. God looks at the intentions of your heart and not the outward actions. God looks at the genuineness of our heart.

That the generations to come will know God...!

I Kings 2:2-4 NKJV

“I go the way of all the earth; be strong, therefore, and prove yourself a man. And keep the charge of the Lord your God: to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn; that the Lord may fulfill His word which He spoke concerning me, saying, ‘If your sons take heed to their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul,’ He said, ‘you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’

******
Shalom! Day #157. Do you know that the blessings of God flows from generation to generation as we educate and make known to the next generation about God? Let's pray. Father, we clearly understood that it's our responsibility to educate the next generation about You and all Your marvelous and wondrous works as well as Your commandments. We pray that let it be that there's no a generation without knowing You. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

It is our responsibility to make sure the generations to come after us, is build and established on the knowledge of God, who God is, the teachings of God, the testimonies of the miraculous and wondrous works of God. In today's verse, we see how David was imparting and sharing with Solomon what all the Lord has done for the Israelites and for David personally. He is educating Solomon about God because he is the next king after David.

In order for Solomon to reign in greater success than David, he must abide to every commandments of God so that he shall prosper in every ways. David says, " And keep the charge of the Lord your God: to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn; that the Lord may fulfill His word which He spoke concerning me, saying, ‘If your sons take heed to their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul,’ He said, ‘you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’" We must pass on the truth of God from generation to generations. You can the key to the blessings of God and it will flow from you to your generations to come after you if only you are willing to uphold and establish the teachings and the commandments of God in your family and your generation. A strong generation begins from you as an individual.  What can you do to see the future generations to come be built on the solid foundation of the truth of God?

The Lord is my rock...!

II Samuel 22:2-7 NKJV

And he said: “The Lord  is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence. I will call upon the Lord , who  is  worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. “When the waves of death surrounded me, The floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the Lord , And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry entered His ears.

******
Shalom! Day #156. Do you know that the Lord our God is our only hope when others fades away? Let's pray. Father, we declare and believe that You are our hope for living, our redeemer, our salvation and our all in all. We stand strong because You are strong and able to save us. Thank You Lord. In Jesus name we ask and pray, Amen!

When all the hopes fades away, our God is still there with open hands inviting you to come to Him and to allow Him to take control of whatever situations you are facing. David, is a man who knows and understand what God is capable of, when he seeks Him for help and refuge. Everytime in every events of David's life, whenever he encounters problems, or even p2ople are after him, David always runs to God for counsel and protection. David recognizes that without God, he is nothing and not able to function.

Are you in some kind of a situation that you think you are not able to overcome? Hey, let me tell you....GOD IS ABLE TO SAVE YOU, AND GIVE YOU HOPE! God is the Author of salvation,  He rose and conquered the grave. In Him there's hope for the hopeless and broken hearted. Call upon the Lord anf He shall answer you!

Psalms 91:15 NKJV

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will  be  with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

Faithful and loyal servant...!

II Samuel 15:19-21 NKJV

Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite, “Why are you also going with us? Return and remain with the king. For you are a foreigner and also an exile from your own place. In fact, you came only yesterday. Should I make you wander up and down with us today, since I go I know not where? Return, and take your brethren back. Mercy and truth be with you.” But Ittai answered the king and said, “ As the Lord lives, and as my lord the king lives, surely in whatever place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also your servant will be.”

******
Shalom! Day #155. Do you know that it is important that you should practice your faithfulness and loyalty towards your Lord our God? Let's pray. Father, we do not want to be the ones who betrays and deny You. As we have witnessed all Your marvelous works, let us continue to remain faithful till the end. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Faithfulness and loyalty,  it may seems to be like a big word, but let me tell you, if you are practising it, then it would be an easy thing for you. Most of the time I study the characters of a dog. A dog is so much loyal to its master no matter how good or bad the master can be. There's a story which I read from the internet about this dog who will go to its master's grave everyday at 6pm and sleeps there and return back home in the morning. The dog watches over the master's grave. Sorry for saying this but I have to, Dogs are more faithful and loyal than human's.

In today's verse, Ittai a Gittite, was a foreigner and was an exile from his own place was loyal to David. Ittai answered the king and said, “ As the Lord lives, and as my lord the king lives, surely in whatever place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also your servant will be.” Ittai literary saying that he will be loyal to David till his last breath. The question is, are we being loyal and faithful to our God, employer, church, family, friends, our spouse? Many people like run away when their master encounters problems. Many Christian run away when the church is under persecution. Many will not stand with their pastor. Ittai,  not even an Israelite, he chose to stand with David. What about us? Think about it and do something.

It displeased the Lord...!

II Samuel 11:2-5, 14-15, 17, 26-27 NKJV

Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said, “ Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?” Then David sent messengers, and took her; and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from her impurity; and she returned to her house. And the woman conceived; so she sent and told David, and said, “I am with child.” In the morning it happened that David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it by the hand of Uriah. And he wrote in the letter, saying, “Set Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retreat from him, that he may be struck down and die.” Then the men of the city came out and fought with Joab. And some of the people of the servants of David fell; and Uriah the Hittite died also. When the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband. And when her mourning was over, David sent and brought her to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord .

******
Shalom! Day #154. Do you know that there are things which we do that's not pleasing unto the Lord? Let's pray. Father forgive us for many time we have hurt Your feelings by doing things that's not pleasing in Your sight. We need Your grace and mercy to forgive us and give us a chance to repent and change. Thank You Lord. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!
Many at times do things that's not pleasing unto the Lord. We know that it is wrong, we know that it is a sin, yet, we do it. Even sometimes we neglect the voice of the Holy Spirit reminding us not to do so. We think "it's ok" God will not be mad at us just for this little wrong thing. But we don't know that everytime we do something wrong, it really hurts the heart of God. In today's verse, we are going to look at David. Yes, he was a man after God's own heart, yet he was only a man, a human with all his imperfections. Yet, still it's not a reason for him to sin. David knew very well that his actions were wrong and that he is sinning against the Lord. David, he gave in to his fleshy desires. David was peeping at a beautiful woman, Bathsheba, from the roof and he was attracted to her beauty and tempted to commit sin. He slept with another man's wife and impregnated her. Soon when Bathsheba realized that she was pregnant, she came to David and David came up with a plan. He tried to get Uriah, Bathsheba's husband to go home and to sleep with his wife and so on, but Uriah was loyal to David. Then David,  told Joab, “Set Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retreat from him, that he may be struck down and die.” He hs committed a sin, now to cover up that sin, he did another sin, murder. Then later her took Bathsheba as his wife.

It is written in this verse that, "But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord." A sin to cover up another sin. God wasn't satisfied with what David has done. Are we in the same boat as David? No I don't mean what we are coveting another person husband or wife, but are we doing things which displeased God? We need to be serious and careful with our every actions, words and attitude. Every little thing we do, watching pornography, telling lies, coveting another person's spouse, stealing, murder, bribing, everything we do,  we are hurting God's heart and His feelings. Do not misuse your authority as a servants of God to get anything you want. David misused his authority as a king to cover-up his sin, murder, and covet another man's wife. If today's sharing is stirring you heart and spirit to repent, let us repent.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

You are precious more than silver and gold...!

II Samuel 7:18, 28-29 NKJV

Then King David went in and sat before the Lord ; and he said: “Who am I, O Lord God ? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far? “And now, O Lord God , You are God, and Your words are true, and You have promised this goodness to Your servant. Now therefore, let it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue before You forever; for You, O Lord God , have spoken it, and with Your blessing let the house of Your servant be blessed forever.”

******
Shalom! Day #153. Do you know that you are precious more than silver and gold, rubies and diamonds? Let's pray. Father, forgive us for taking this life for granted and not knowing the truest meaning of this life which You've given to us. Thank You for opening our eyes to see how special and precious we are in Your eyes. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

In Psalms 8:4-6 NKJV king David asked of God, "What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet..."  Of all the creations of God, you are the precious one of all. You were fearfully and wonderfully made in the image and likeness of God. You are worth more than silver and gold,  rubies and diamonds. God really put a lot of effort to create a wonderful, beautiful and handsome human being like you. As I was reading this verse today, this song by casting crowns titled "who am I" came to my mind. The verse goes like this, "who am I, that the Lord of all the earth would care to know my name, would care to feel my hurt? Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star would choose to light the way for my ever wandering heart? Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin would looknon me with love and watch me rise again? Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea would call out through the rain and calm the strom in me?"

Many people don't really realize who they are in the Lord and how precious they are in the eyes of God. Many take their life for granted and not thankful for the life God has given them. They are more than willing to give their life to what the world has to offer them. They just simply don't understand the importance of their God given life to them. Your life is full of purpose, filled with purpose for a bright future and hope. You are destined for greater purpose. Do not be fooled and blinded by the devil's lies which clouds your mind and feel bad and worthless about yourself.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!

Give your best to God...!

II Samuel 6:20-22 NKJV

Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!” So David said to Michal, “ It  was before the Lord , who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord , over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord . And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor.”

******
Shalom! Day #152. Do you know that we are aught to give our best to God in every ways of our lives snd in everything we do and we are? Let's pray.  Father, thank You for appointing us to be Your glorified vessels. We pledge our allegiance to Jesus,  to serve with all our hearts,  body, soul and spirit. In Jesus name we ask and pray, Amen!

We must understand one truth. Not man, not pastors nor apostles and prophets who appointed you, but God Himself with all grace and mercy He appointed you to be His vessels. Therefore we are by all means to give our very best to God in every ways of our life and in everything we do for God. In today's verse, we see how king David gave his to God. He worshipped God with all his might, with all his soul, spirit and mind. No, don't get me wrong. I'm not asking you to dance like David dance, but to be truthful like him, to give his very best to God.

But what happened was, Michal, despised David because he dance until his clothes came off. So David answered Michal, "It  was before the Lord , who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord , over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord . And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor." Wow, such a brave proclamation! He knows and affirmed that it is God who appointed him to be the ruler of Israel. Whatever we do for God,  when we realize and recognize that God is the one who called us from the darkness into His marvelous light and that we would give our all, our best to God towards the call and towards His works. Not only we worship Him in spirit and in truth but also to serve Him in spirit and in truth. If you don't know he meaning of serving and worshipping God, well better get your pastor to explain to you, lest you serve and worshipping Him without meaning.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
