Let us run...

Hebrews 12:1-2, 28-29 NKJV

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares  us,  and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of  our  faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God  is  a consuming fire.

Shalom! Day #24. Do you know that there are cheerleaders cheering for you as you run the race? They constantly cheers and encourages us to run and finish the race. Father in the name of Jesus we pray that  as we study Your word, help us to grow daily in You and seek You more and more. Lord Jesus we pray as we run this race let our eyes focused on you alone. In Jesus name we ask and pray. Amen.

Do you know that there are cheerleaders cheering for you as you run the race? They constantly cheers and encourages us to run and finish the race. Of course this cheerleaders doesn't wear those miniskirts, but hey, they are the heavenly cheerleaders. We are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses. They are cheering for each one of us, "come on, keep running, don't look back, look forward, focused on Jesus, never give up, keep running!" Our part is to lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares  us,  and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Do not focused on who your opponents are, but focused only on the trophy that's waiting for you. When you run the race, even your loved ones may try to discourage you, because they don't see the importance that you see in winning the race. Your opponents are your obstacles. Your opponents are those who will try to hinder and reroute you, discourage you. Your winning trophy is Jesus Christ, when your eyes are wholly fixed on Him, no matter what's happens, by all means you will win the race. Why? Because a right heart attitude towards the things that has been entrusted to you. Why again? Because Jesus is the Author and Perfecter of our faith. You will endure it with gladness and joy.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. When your eyes are focused on Jesus, no matter what's happens you will not be shaken or moved, because Jesus is your hope and assurance. Let us serve Him accordingly, acceptably, the way it pleases Him. Serve Him with reverence and fear. This is Godly fear. It is not the kind of fear when you are chased by a dog  or fear of getting scold by your books. This holy fear is, respect. It's a feeling of profound awe and respect and often love, an act of showing respect. If you are serving God today, take it seriously. Have some respect to your calling. Do not take it for granted.

Let this day be the day of the Lord.
