Be alert...

Job 1:6-12 NKJV

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord , and Satan also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there  is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person. ” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord .

Shalom! Day #156. Do you know that Satan is always looking for an opportunity to attack us? Let's pray. Father, we pray that lead us not into temptations but deliver us from the evil one. In Jesus name we pray, amen!

Now, we must understand one thing very clearly. God won't tempt us, but devil does. God only test us. As far as I know, only two person the devil tempt with the permission of God. One is Job and another is Peter. In James 1:2-3, 12-13 NKJV My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. Job endured the temptations of the devil. Job a God fearing man, approved by God Himself. I can say here that the devil will always try to attack the servants of God and those who are faithfull to God. The devil doesn't even bothered about those who lukewarm. The bible say in 1 Peter 5:8 be sober, be vigilant because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. If we give him an inch space of our lives to the devil, that's it, he will come to steal, kill and destroy everything we have. Therefore be on your guard for you do not know when and how the devil will attack you.

When you are connected to God 24/7, you are sensitive to His leading and His voice, then the devil will not be able to tempt you. But if you are living out of His presence, well then we are vulnerable to the attacks of the devil. God is our sun and shield, when we are in His presence. What connects us to God? PRAYER & PRAISE, read and meditate on His promises.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
