The last shall be the first...!

Matthew 20:16, 26-28 NKJV

So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.” Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.  And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave—  just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Shalom! Day #290. Do you know that Jesus is still serving us? Let's pray.  Father,  we pray that today You would create a servanthood heart in us. Lord, we are privileged to be the chosen ones, therefore help us to serve You like Jesus did, a humble servant. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

The last will be first, and the last is the chosen ones. Jesus was lifted up and given the Name above all names, because He came as a servant to serve and to give His very best in serving,  His life. He is still serving us by meeting all of our needs. He is still interceding for us. If your want to be great in the kingdom of God then start from where you are now. Start serving one another. Elisha, was not made a prophet on the spot. God called him first to be Elijahs servant, to serve him. He diligently served Elijah. Jesus came to serve and not to be served. He choose us to serve others and we are to worship the Lord our God with all our hearts.

In today's christianity, everyone wants to have a title and a position in the church, to be well known by the church members or otherwise they will not serve. People are running after a positions and titles in the church. Jesus didn't make His name great, but the fruits He bore in serving others spoke of His miraculous and wonderous works. It's not about having an extravagant position or title that makes a person to be a servant, but it's about how sincere, serious, diligent and all out about doing the things the Lord has entrusted to us. Be faithful in the little things,  and God knows how to expand and enlarge the things that He has given to us.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
