Show no partiality...?

Acts 15:8-9 NKJV

So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He  did to us, and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

Shalom! Day #345. Do you know that God knows your hearts intentions and He doesn't practice partiality and favoritism? Let's pray. Father, we pray today that You would search us and seek out our hearts.  Surround us with Your Spirit and never depart. Where can we go from You? What can we do without You? For You know our thoughts, our intentions, our motives and our every moves. Search our hearts today, Lord, that we may not be found in wanting. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Let me tell you something as a believer of Christ and one who have been rebuked and corrected by God. God knows every intentions of our hearts,  be it good or bad. People may not know, but hey, God is 24/7 watching us. Every sinful thoughts,  every selfish thoughts, every movement God is watching. In this verse, God clearly says that He is a God who doesn't practice partiality and favoritism. Whether you are rich or poor, Jewish or gentile, black or white, Asian or European, natives or westerners,  there isn't distinction between us. We are all the same in the sight of God. Sometimes in the church itself we practice partiality and favoritism. For example, those congregation who are rich, we want to rub shoulders with them. Those who are talented we want them to be involved in the worship team. Those who are really good in music and so on, we want them to play in every occasions. It's like without them, the worship is dead!!! It's been happening in most of the churches.

God did not practice partiality and favoritism,  so why are putting a yoke on the believers neck, when we ourselves are not willing to bear it? As I said earlier, God knows what you are thinking, what's your intentions and so on. There's two things I would like to share with us today.

1. Practice no partiality and favoritism.
⊙ Acts 10:34 Peter says ... in truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.

=> Jesus did not practice partiality amongst His disciples and followers. I humbly implore to every leaders,  pastors and fellow believers and servants let us not practice favoritism and partiality in the kingdom of God, for people like this are the biggest hindrance for the enlargement and for the advancement of God's kingdom on earth. Be fair to all.

2. God knows the hearts of man.
⊙ be it your intentions or your motive, let it be pure and clear before God.

=> you may say no one knows what's happening inside of your head and heart, but God knows! The salvation plan of God is for everyone and not just for the poor, the rich or the educated but for all. God didn't choose certain people to be saved and to pour out the Holy Spirit upon them, but to everyone who confess their sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus are given the gift of God, the gift of salvation and the Holy Spirit.

So is your intentions pure? Are we practising partiality? You answer it yourself.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
