Be sober.... be vigilant...!

I Peter 5:8-11 NKJV

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.  To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Shalom! Day #49. Do you know that the devil is looking for every opportunity he can have just to make you stumble and fall into sin? Let's pray. Father, give us an alert heart that knows every move of the devil. Let us not be negligent,  but be sober and be vigilant. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

The devil is just waiting to make you stumble and fall. He's like the lion waiting for its prey. The only way you can resist the devil is be steadfast in the faith. The knows your weakness and he will attack you there. But hey, if your faith is rooted deep in Jesus, no devil can touch you because you cannot be shaken. But if you aren't strong, you can easily fall. The devil will attack the most precious thing belonging to you, your family, friends, children and so on, how are you going to counter attack him back?

1. Be steadfast in the faith.
⊙ you grow spiritually when your faith grows in Jesus. I'm not saying that you must allow the devil to test and tempt you. But before the devil attacks you, you attack him first. Before that, your faith must be rooted deep in Jesus. A heart that believes no matter what the situation is. A heart that's filled with the powerful word of God, your double edged SWORD. When you are filled with the Living and Powerful word of God, you can attack the devil back with the Living and Powerful Word of God. When Jesus was tempted by the devil, Jesus counter attacked the devil with the Living and Powerful word of God! Your faith must be rooted deeper in God and His word.

2. Be sure of who called you and why you are called.
⊙ But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. Your calling is from God and you're called to witness His everlasting eternal glory of God in your life and through your life. He who called you is faithful and will provide for you. The devil may attack at your source of income as you serve, do not be shaken, the Lord will provide.

Yeah, brothers and sisters, every believers are going through the same kind of problem in one way or another. Many stumble, and there's many as well standing strong in the Lord. Let His eternal glory shine upon you.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
