Be a soldier...!

II Timothy 2:3-6, 15, 20-21 NKJV

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

Shalom! Day #33. Do you know that you are trained t8endure hardships as a soldier and be entangled with the issues and affairs of life? Let's pray. Father, let us fully be focused for the cause of our calling and not be diverted to the issues and affairs of life. Let us be as soldiers whereby their focus is to win the war. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

We are the soldiers of Christ and we do not wage war against  flesh and blood, we wage war against every power and principalities of darkness. But, we aren't discussing about that today. Today we are going to learn about the steadfastness in serving God. A soldier who is at the battlefield field will never look back and think about anything else except winning the war. He will not think about his family or the wonderful life he has or so on, but only one thing, the strategy to win the battle. A soldier goes through intensive training,  a training that you could never imagine and that's why he is strong mentally and emotionally. An athlete put all his focus on training to win the competition. While training, he will not just somehow train, but all his focus are directed to the winning trophy and train till he feels the pain and hurt. People say, "No pain no gain." A farmer first eats his harvest, then he sells to others. A person who puts all his or her heart, energy and focus into the things they do will surely be rewarded.

In serving God,  there are two types of group one the gold and silver and the other of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. A vessel of honor is a person who totally cut off all the sinful nature, fleshy desires and totally focused in serving God whilst a vessel of dishonor is a person who still entangled with the world. Which one are you? Be sanctified and be useful for the Master and be prepared for every good works. Therefore a person who is steadfast, will never look to the left or right in serving God.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
