The feeling of being rejected...!

I Samuel 29:6-11 NKJV

Then Achish called David and said to him, “Surely, as the Lord lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the army is good in my sight. For to this day I have not found evil in you since the day of your coming to me. Nevertheless the lords do not favor you. Therefore return now, and go in peace, that you may not displease the lords of the Philistines.” So David said to Achish, “But what have I done? And to this day what have you found in your servant as long as I have been with you, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?” Then Achish answered and said to David, “I know that you are as good in my sight as an angel of God; nevertheless the princes of the Philistines have said, ‘He shall not go up with us to the battle.’ Now therefore, rise early in the morning with your master’s servants who have come with you. And as soon as you are up early in the morning and have light, depart.” So David and his men rose early to depart in the morning, to return to the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.

Shalom! Day #150. Do you know that many people in one way or another are affected by rejection? Let's pray. Father, heal us and set us free from the spirit of rejection. Let Your joy and Your peace which surpasses all human understanding to reign in our hearts and mind. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

The feel of being rejected. Oh yes, I'm sharing about this today. Rejection, a feeling that grips your heart and it sows the seed of bitterness into your heart and you begin to isolate yourself because you feel rejected by everyone. I know how it feels and I know what rejection is able to do. If we never deal with it, then later the seed of bitterness will take root in our lives because of rejection. Sometimes people do not reject you directly, but indirectly.

In today's verse, we see how David was rejected in a good manner by Achish saying everything good about David. David did not deserves to be rejected, but he was rejected simply because he was a Hebrew. Most of the time people tends to reject us for what we believe in and holding on to and that becomes a concrete reason for them to reject us. David, was rejected but he took it the right way and left the next day morning. Many of us take rejection wrongly and bitterness begins to take root in out lives. You to deal with it, else it will be a stumbling block in your spiritual life.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
