The prayers of an anguished heart...!

I Samuel 1:10-11 NKJV

And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. Then she made a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.”

Shalom.  Day #142. Do you know that prayer that's coming out of an anguished heart always get answered? Let's pray. Father, baptize us with a heary that's filled with anguish so that we would not tolerate nonsense that's happening around us but will really pour out our hearts and intercede for this generation. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

In Psalms 126:5-6 NKJV it says that, "Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with  him." An anguished heart, that's what God is looking for. A heart that's burdened and anguished of what's happening around us. Nehemiah, his heart filled with anguish after hearing reports about what has happened to Jerusalem. He wept, mourned, fasted and prayed with such a burdened in his heart, and God used him to restore the walls of Jerusalem. Are we sowing the seeds of tears for this generation in our prayers? Folks,  it's getting late and it's getting serious. In the country where I am now, persecution has begun. They are actively involved in persecuting our fellow believers. What are we doing about it? I believe that NOW is the time for the churches to unite without looking at the walls of denominations.

In today's verse we read about Hannah.  Her heart filled with anguish and bitterness for what has been done to her. "And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish." Let me tell you one thing, Hannah prayed really earnestly with all her heart to God. When you are filled with such a grieve and pain and anguish, then you will really pray earnestly. I'm speaking from personal experience. We can spend so much time infront of the television and internet and watch our families go to hell and we aren't doing anything about it. Where is the cry for our families, communities, nation? Folks,  don't tell me that you are concerned. Concerned isn't just enough, but are you willing to pay the price and pray? Nehemiah prayed and God answered. Hannah  prayed amd God answered. God gave her a child and his name was Samuel and as per her covenant with God, she dedicated Samuel for the works of the Lord totally. If you earnestly pray, miracles do happen.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
