Accomplish or do not begin...

II Corinthians 8:10-11, 17 NKJV

And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; but now you also must complete the doing of  it; that as there  was a readiness to desire it, so there also may  be a completion out of what you have. For he not only accepted the exhortation, but being more diligent, he went to you of his own accord.

Shalom! Day #9. Do you know that the fact is, many say want to do this and that but when they have begun, they do not complete what they have started? Let's pray. Father, forgive us for our lack of diligence. Give us a heart of diligence.  Help us to accomplish every work we begin. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Accomplish or do not begin. This must be our life motto. Many people start to do something,  but halfway around they do not accomplish what they have started. When the going gets harder, they just choose to quit just like that. In this verse, Paul is pointing out a few things that would benefit us and encourage us to continue to do the works we've started.

1. It is to your advantage.
⊙ when you have started to so something, do not quit halfway, finish it. It's because you will benefit from it as well. You will gain knowledge, experience as well as learning how to do things effectively, efficiently and diligently. Procrastinators are the ones who always quit. Are you a procrastinator?

2. You must have the desire.
⊙ a person without a desire and passion in doing things will never succeed in the things he's working on. The desire that you have in starting to do something,  must be the catalyst that moves you to completion of the task. When you love what you do, you will do it with all your heart no matter who come against it, no matter what happens that desire will drive you on to completion of the task.

3. Be diligent.
⊙ be diligent to do whatever you have began.  Be diligent to do everything by your own. If you can do it then do it yourself, do not expect for people to help you. Never expect people to do things for you. If you really cannot, then ask for help.

So folks, from the advice of apostle Paul,  let us accomplish or do not begin at all. Do it with all your heart and be diligent!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
