Not by works, but by faith...!

Galatians 2:16, 20 NKJV

knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Shalom! Day #14. Do you know that you are justified not by the works you do but by your faith in Jesus Christ? Let's pray. Father, let my faith produce fruits not be justified by works but by the level of faith we have in you. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Let me tell you something as a servant of God. It doesn't matter how great are the works you do, how big the ministry you have, if your base is not built on the word of God, it is compared nothing. How can you have faith in God when the word of God is not in you? Without faith it is impossible to please God. Three things we must look into as we walk this year. In Matthew 7, there is a parable about the builder. As Jesus was teaching His disciples, He was explaining to them the difference that's in this verse. Jesus was saying that there is wise builder and a foolish builder. Both are building the same kind of building. But one is building on the rock foundation and another on the sand foundation. Both has the same excellent workmanship they need in building the house. The wise one built on the word of God as the foundation but the foolish builder built on the world philosophies. The reason is, the wise builder took time to really think and plan about it. But the foolish builder did not take much time in it. Both the house looked the same, have the same radiance and was beautiful,  but one was built on the word of God and another on the sand. Outwardly,  the our life looks good, but the personal life is not align to God. Outwardly you may be busy doing the Lord work, running here and there, but inwardly you aren't built on His word. So yeah, now God is asking us whether how is our relationship with Him? So let us look into this three matter now.

In the book of Joshua 5:13-15 NKJV, we can see how God change the innerman of Joshua.  How God brought change in to trust God and have faith in Him.

And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “ Are You for us or for our adversaries?” So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?” Then the Commander of the Lord ’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.

Joshua was all prepared to go for the battle, but he was wondering how to bring down the walls of Jericho.

1. Joshua was by Jericho and lifted his eyes and he looked...
⊙ Joshua looked at the high tall fortified wall, and was wondering how to conquer it. Our faith in God determines what kind of victory we will see. When Joshua was looking at the problem, a Man came stood opposite Joshua and Joshua's perspective was diverted from the problem to the Man. When you are built in the foundation of God's word, it doesn't matter how terrible a problem can be, you know to whom you can run to. When our focused is diverted from the problem to God, you can see the victory which God has prepared for you! The point here is CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE. Look to God and not the problems We live our life by building on the firm foundation of God's word.

2. Change you alliance.
⊙ Joshua asked a very important question here. Are You for us or for our adversaries? Well, all know this verse, if God is for us, who can be against us. The Man replied Joshua, I am in neither sides. I'm on My side. The biggest and important question we are to ask today,  are we on God's side? If we abide in Him, then He is in us, and then you shall see the victory.

3. The battle belongs to the Lord.
⊙ when Joshua was asking a military strategy from God,  God replied Joshua with a spiritual strategy. The Lord said, take your sandal off your foot, for the place you stand is holy. In those days the sandal is very important shield for the armies. Because with it you can run through every jungle, deserts and rocky paths without getting you feet injured. The Lord is telling Joshua,  whether I'm on uour side or not you will still have the victory because of the promised God made with Abraham and because the battle belongs to the Lord.  God is saying not to trust in your own abilities but to trust in Him totally!!! Remove your trust in your abilities and begin to trust God! And at the end  of the verse, Joshua did as what God commanded him.

We are justified by the amount of faith we have in God and not by the amount of ministry.  You can be doing many works and ministry,  yet that all doesn't make up to what is the level of your faith. So, your level of faith depends on how good your relationship with God is.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
