Look to yourself...

II John 1:8 NKJV

Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.

******
Shalom! Day #40. Do you know that your labor in the is not in vain when you do it with all your heart and shall receive your reward? Let's pray. Father, in the name of Jesus we pray that help us to do your will with all our heart not focusing upon the reward, but focusing fully on You alone. In Jesus name we ask and pray. Amen.

There is two things that we need to look into In. The word "look to yourselves" and "reward." Look to yourselves means be careful, be alert that you do not lose the things we have labored in, worked for. Whatever ministry, or souls which the Lord has entrusted to us, let us be diligent in taking care of it. Not just to maintain it, but to make sire it progress and bear fruits. We must constantly evaluate it's growth, either the ministry or the soul. That's why followup is very much important. Some people just win souls and after winning them to the Lord, they surrender the rest of the responsibility to the pastors to nurture and discipleship them. Actually winning souls is not about winning them and bringing them to church. It is not just that. Each souls we win, we are responsible for their spiritual growth not the pastors. Jesus said, "go and make disciples" He did not say go and win souls only or go and be fishers of men only. Sometimes we win a souls then after winning we don't bother them. That is the very reason why they don't grow and slipped away from the truth, where we lose those things we worked for. Same goes to a ministry. The growth of a ministry in not the hands of a pastor, but it's in our hands. Our involvement in the ministry, are we doing it because we are told to do so, or are we doing it with all of our hearts unto God? When you put your heart into it and do it, you shall see growth and expansion. Amen!

II Samuel 22:21 NKJV
“The  Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.

II Chronicles 15:7 NKJV
But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!”

I Corinthians 3:8 NKJV
Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

Colossians 3:24 NKJV
knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

I Corinthians 15:58 NKJV
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Your reward is from the Lord. He shall reward you according to your works. Just remember this, whatsoever you do in the name of the Lord, either for the Lord or for the souls or for the ministry, IT IS NOT IN VAIN! Do not be fooled by this question "if I do this, what will I get?" The work of the devil is to deceive us. Do not be deceived by such questions, but rather be confidence that God shall reward you and that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
