The Lord was with him...

Genesis 39:20-23 NKJV

Then Joseph’s master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison. But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing. The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that  was under Joseph’s authority, because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made it prosper.

Shalom! Day #57. Do you know that if God is with you, everything you do, it prospers? Let's pray. Father we come to You today in the name of Jesus and we pray help us to be close to you as we walk with You. That we may prosper in everything we do in Your name! In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

What was Joseph's secret? I can say here it is the fellowship he had with God. That's the main point. Even when Joseph was in his fathers house, Jacob, God communicated through dreams of what Joseph's future would be. The unbroken fellowship Joseph had with God has brought favor upon him. Even after he was sold by his brothers, the statement of the bible says, THE LORD WAS WITH HIM! When the Lord is with us, the favor of God Is automatically imparted to us. Wherever we go what ever we do, we will prosper and will have favor with God and with man.

The second reason he prospered and found favor is, he was faithful to the responsibilities given to him. He did not take it lightly, but he did it with all his heart! When you are given a responsibility, be responsible to it and do it with all your heart. When you do it with all your heart, you shall reap what you have sowed! Either in serving God, or In secular world, be faithful in carrying the task and responsibilities entrusted to you, and you will see the unstoppable favor of God upon your life, work, ministry, studies and family. Even when Joseph was tempted by Potiphars wife, he did not take advantage of that situation because the fear of God was in him.

Our faithfulness is first and foremost to God and His ministry and His will. Then, comes the rest. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Do not neglect your fellowship to God!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
