Love come and take over now...

I John 4:4, 17-18 NKJV

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Shalom! Day #38. Do you know that perfect love overcomes fear? Let's pray. Father in the name of Jesus we come before You today. We thank You for Your love is new and fresh every morning. Help us to be perfected in Your love daily for Your casts out all of our fears. On Jesus name we ask and pray. Amen!

Love has been perfected among us? Perfect love casts out fear? What does it really means?
The word love in Greek is :
1. Mania - does not involves love but lust, or obsession the love of possession

2. Eros - erotic or passionate love; it does not describe sexual love only, it actually describes all emotional love, the feeling of love

3. Philos - brotherly or friendship love.

4. Storgy - Is the love one has for a dependant. It is commonly knows as "motherly love." When the dependent no longer a dependent, this love remains only in its emotional remnants.

5. Agapeo - agape love is the final of the five loves. Agape love is entirely about the lover and has nothing whatsoever to do with the one loved. Agape love, in it's purest form, requires no payment of favor in response.

The perfect love we are talking about here is the Agape love. The agape love is a sacrificial love, the unconditional love of God. Jesus loves us and sacrificed Himself for us, yet He did not asks us to love or pay Him in return. He gives us a choice to choose. The moment we accepted Jesus, we began to love Him and experience the unconditional love of God. And as we love He installs in us this perfect love. The perfect love of God is the greatest love than any other love you can find in this world. The verse says, "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." The power of God in you is greater than any other power that's In the world. The agape love of God In us is greater than any other love in this world. The Spirit of God in you is greater than any spirit in this world.  The unconditional love of God is explained in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and was demonstrated on the Cross.

Most of us replies God's love with philos love, a friendship love. When Jesus questioned Peter, Jesus was asking in the manner of agape love and Peter replied in philos love. Are we able to give God our number 1 love? The agape love? We say we love God, but we tend to find reason not to do His will. When there is prayer meeting, only a handful is there yet we say we love God? Where are the actions of love? We tend to use our children as a reason in not joining any church activities, yet we say we love God?

Folks, let us practice the love we have for God. Jesus demonstrated it on the cross. We demonstrates it by loving one another, by doing His will, by praying, fellowship with Him. It's time to redefine our love for God. Agape or philos?

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
