Baptism of anguish...!

I Samuel 1:10, 27 NKJV

And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.

Shalom! Day #96. Do you know that a prayer from an anguished heart is what God is looking for? Let's pray. Father baptize us with an anguished heart. Let us not be complacent and satisfied with ourselves and with the prayers which we lift up to you. Take us out from the comfort zone. In the name of Jesus we ask and pray. Amen!

Anguish means extreme pain and distress. The emotion so stirred that it becomes painful. Acute deeply felt inner pain because of conditions about you, in you or around you.  Quoting from a great man of God, Rev. David Wilkerson, " all true passion is born out of anguish. All true passion for Christ comes out of a baptism of anguish." Anguish, deep pain! If you read this verse above, it is written that, " she was in bitterness of soul." Hannah's heart is in deep pain and she prayed. What do you do when you are in deep pain? She lifted up her prayers to God in deep pain of her heart. Folks, where is the anguish in the house of God? Are we even praying in anguish for this generation? She wept in anguish and she prayed! We are so satisfied and complacent in our prayers. We are blind to everything. Nehemiah, he was a cupbearer. God used him, because of the true passion that came out of an anguished heart! He saw what has happened to Jerusalem and he FASTED, PRAYED AND WEPT! Why Nehemiah and not his brothers? Because God saw true passion in him!

Psalms 126:5-6 NKJV Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with  him.

Anguish, deep pain! Will you pray like never before for this rebellious generation? Will there be a true passion out of an anguished heart? Folks, it's getting late and it's getting serious!

"...and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him." A prayer from an anguished heart is answered by God. It has the power to move God's hand to perform a revival, a miracle, a restoration. Will there be a man or a woman in this generation take the challenge to stand in the gap, to weep, and pray for this generation? True passion comes out of an anguished heart!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
