The root of problems...!

II Kings 2:20-22 NKJV

And he said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, “Thus says the Lord : ‘I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’ ” So the water remains healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.

Shalom! Day #119. Do you know that a problem is solved when you get back to the root or the source that created that problem? Let's pray. Father, we pray give us wisdom and knowledge in tackling the issues of our lives as well as the problems we face. In Jesus name we pray, amen!

A problem is solved when you have identified the cause or the root or the source of the problem. Many people the choose rather not to solve the problem, but to run away from it. For example, Elijah was running away from Jezebel because he was afraid that she would kill him. Now Jezebel is the root or the source of Elijah's problem. He hid himself in a cave and God had to come looking for him, and asking him What are you doing here, Elijah? And God said go back to what I have asked you to do. The verse we read just now, people came to Elisha and they complained about the problem in the water. Those days they don't have water purifying personnel. They will ask the prophets to do the job... hahaha. Ok well back to the story. Elisha said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, “Thus says the Lord : ‘I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’" A bowl of salt for healing the water. Elijah identified the source and solved the problem.

Today, if you take time to identify the root or the source of the problems that your are going through, you will come out of it victoriously. There are the roots of bitterness, roots of rejection, roots of hatred, roots of lust, roots disappointments, roots rebellion, roots of poverty mentality, roots of disobedience. This is just a few which I have listed. Get back to the root and deal with it. Allow God to bring healing and restoration into that area.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
