A concerned heart...!

Nehemiah 1:3-4 NKJV

And they said to me, “The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.” So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for  many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

Shalom! Day #151. Do you know that a ministry is birth from a concerned heart that's want to make a change or difference? Let's pray. Father, we pray today that let us to have  concerned heart over the things that's happening around us, concerned for our family, community, villages, town, states and our country and let it moves ou4 heart to do something about it. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

A concerned heart is just not enough. Ministry is birth from a concerned heart which follows by an action to bring a change and an impact in a life, family, community, villages, town, states and our country. In this passage we read about how Nehemiah reacted to what he has heard. The first thing a concerned heart does is to get info or to ask about the current situation or the conditions of a certain particular topic. In Nehemiah's case was Jerusalem. So Nehemiah asked and they answered him “The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.” Nehemiah ASKED them about the condition of Jerusalem. Why? Because he was concerned about the people there so the first action out of a concerned heart is to ask or get the info.

This was the turning point in Nehemiah's life. His ministry started with a concerned heart that produces an action. Then it goes on saying in that verse " So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for  many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven." A concerned heart must start to pray. Only through fasting and prayer can breakthrough every strongholds. Only prayer can penetrate into the spiritual realm and destroy every works of the evil ones. Nehemiah sat down and wept and he mourned for many days. It wasn't one or two days he wept or mourned but many days. He was filled with that extreme anguish in his heart and it made him to raise up to the challenge to make a difference. Anguish, extreme pain. Are you concerned about your surroundings? The place where you stay? Your family? Your village? Your community? Your life? Are we filled with that extreme pain that moves you to make a difference, to impart love and to impact lives, to touch lives and transform communities? Pray against the power and the principalities of the darkness. Pray and do something. Act now!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
