And we have not forsaken Him...!

II Chronicles 13:10, 12 NKJV

But as for us, the Lord  is our God, and we have not forsaken Him; and the priests who minister to the Lord  are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites attend to their duties. Now look, God Himself is with us as our  head, and His priests with sounding trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the Lord God of your fathers, for you shall not prosper!”

Shalom! Day #137. Do you know that without God, we cannot function properly? Let's pray. Father, forgive us for forsaking You at times and have gone on our ways. Lord we come to You today, let our hearts be changed, renewed. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Our God is a promise keeper. He said that He will never leave us nor forsake us, but we always leave Him and forsake Him. Looking back to the verse today, without God we are nothing and we cannot do anything, even we try to do, but it will never prosper. The moment pride comes in, we begin to forsake God. RED ALERT!!! DANGEROUS ZONE!!! Pride is the beginning of destruction. Humbleness is the beginning of healing and restoration. Forsaking God means, drifting away from His truth, His presence, His love, His guidance and everything. When forsake God, we lost our focus. We may seem to be doing many things but without purpose, we are heading no where.

Now look, God Himself is with us as our  head. Jesus is our Captain. He is with us no matter how bad we are or how sinful we are. He will never break His promises. He is the Captain that holds the steering wheel of our lives. Bind ourselves to the will of God and to the ways of God. Obey Him. Pride brings strive. Strive brings rebellion and then disobedience. When God is with us, He is for us. If we fight against God, we will never prosper. Apart of God we are nothing. Humbleness is the key to success. Remain humble in the Lord, before the Lord. You can be low profiled, but His works must be known to all. And we have not forsaken Him...remain humble and faithful and stand strong!

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
