Building the altar...!

I Chronicles 21:26 NKJV

And David built there an altar to the Lord , and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called on the Lord ; and He answered him from heaven by fire on the altar of burnt offering.

Shalom! Day #131. Do you know that our personal altar is on shattered condition? Let's pray. Father, renew us from inside out as we daily come before Your altar surrendering our lives, our hearts, our ministry, our family and everything we do. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Almost every messengers and prophets of God they built an altar for God. They built an altar either for sin offerings, or peace offerings, or thanksgiving, or to inquire something from the Lord. Are we building an altar for the Lord today? No I'm not asking us to build a physical altar, but our spiritual altar. In old testament, an altar is a place of prayer or worship. It is a contact place with the spiritual world. The foundation for a successful Christian life and ministry is rooted in the altar of prayer. Again the question here is, are we building our personal altar or how is the condition of our altar?

A Christian living is interconnected with prayer. A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian. Are we daily building an altar of prayer and worship for the Lord? Altar is a place of communication. We bring our sacrifices of burnt offerings, grain offerings and so on, before the Lord to inquire a word from God, again you see prayer is a two way communication. The spiritual altar. What is it? The bible says we are the living sacrifice, a sweet aroma unto God. As we bring our life before the spiritual altar and present it before God, allow God to burn us from Inside out. As He burns us, we produce a sweet aroma as written in II Corinthians 2:16 NKJV To the one we  are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?

Let us daily build an altar of prayer and worship. Bring the sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving. If today your altar is begin to shake and not strong, now is the time for to rebuild it through prayer and worship. Let your life be the living sacrifice before the altar of God.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
