A loyal heart and with a willing mind...!

I Chronicles 28:9-10 NKJV

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever. Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.”

Shalom! Day #133. Do you know that the Lord knows the motive you are serving Him? Let's pray. Father, forgive us for our wrong motives in serving You. We want to glorify Your name alone. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

In this verse we read, David is instructing Solomon to serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind. How loyal and willing are we in serving God? Being loyal means no turning back, not having another person. Or for example, if you are married then you are to be loyal to your spouses. We are to be loyal to God alone and not looking for other easy ways to get our needs answered. For example, seeking witch doctors help, worship of spirits and so on. Being loyal to God means, clinging on to the one true LIVING GOD, and not other so called "gods." Willingness in serving. Do you know that the Lord willingly gave Himself for the redemption of our sins? He did not force Himself to do so, but He was destined for that purpose and He did it willingly. Are we willingly serving God today or we need people to drag our legs to serve God today? Have a willingness and readiness heart to serve Him at anytime of the day and any cost that you have to pay!

For the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. Make sure we are serving God with a good and right motive, not seeking ones glory but glorifying Him in every act of our services towards God and His people. Let us not have a bad intention in serving God. For the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it. Therefore serve Him with a right mind and attitude.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
