....but by My Spirit....

Zechariah 4:6 NKJV

So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

Shalom!  Day #268. Do you know that many amongst the servants of God today trying to serve and impress God by their own might and power? Let's pray. Father, thank You for this brand new day, a day filled with a purpose and Your plans for us. As we serve You today, let Your Spirit give us the strength that we need for today. A new Spirit, power and might from You to us today. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Many of us are trying to do our best in serving God,  but we aren't able to get the best out of us. Why? Because we've been trying with our might and power. Many of us don't really understand what it means to serve God. Some serve to impress people and God outwardly. They use all their outward talents and skills to serve just to get people's approval. Thank God for the talents, skills and giftings. Yet the Lord says lean not on your own understanding. But then,  still we are trying to impress and serve God with our own understanding, strength, wisdom, our ways and abilities. Whenever I lead worship, I always say to the worship team, just flow with His Spirit and not with our talents and skills. When His Spirit is at work, you shall witness great and mighty things.

Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord. When we die to ourselves and allow His Spirit to take control, the you shall see the power of God! More of His Spirit and less of ourselves. We serve not because we are so talented, so skilled, so extraordinary... NO! It is by His Spirit we are able to see the great and mighty works of God through us and in us. Never ever say that OH I DID IT ON MY OWN STRENGTH OR I DID IT MY WAY...! When you die to yourself then the Lord is able to use you. A selfless attitude. It's not about us, but it's everything about HIM since the creation of humankind and this whole universe! Lift the name of Jesus high above every name! We shine because of His glory, His Spirit,  not ours.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
