Return to give thanks...!

Luke 17:13-19 NKJV

And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?  Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”  And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

Shalom! Day #318. Do you know that one out of ten is seeking the Lord our God with all their heart and the rest nine just seeking His hands? Let's pray. Father,  as we come to You today, forgive us for not seeking Your face. Forgive us for always keep on asking and asking from You yet there isn't any gratitude in us towards You. Give us a heart that would sincerely seek You and give thanks for all the things that You have done for us. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

This periscope of the Word of God really struct me today. As I was reading,  the Holy Spirit questioned me, What are you seeking today? His hands or His face? Many of us just seeking Jesus for His hand and not His face. Believers are always found in a wanting situation. Wanting for blessinh, healing and so on. Well nothing's wrong,  it's just that we got our motives wrong. As I mentioned above, 1 out of 10 people is really seeking the Lord, the rest 9 seeking for His hand and they have received what they need, the totally forget about Jesus. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 to seek the kingdom of God and and His righteousness and every other things shall be added to us. But we are seeking that "every other things" first.

In this verse we read about 10 lepers came to Jesus for healing, but Jesus told them to go and present themselves before the priest. Please take note that, they were not healed when they meet Jesus,  but they were healed on their way to see the priest. 1 out of 10 came back to Jesus to give thanks and glorify God. The leper that was cleansed, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. He literally worshipped God with a grateful heart, with thanksgiving. Many of the believers as well as the unbelievers, when thy are in need, the come to Jesus with all their heart seeking His hand, but then when they have received what they need, they forget about God, or even about giving thanks to Him.

A little testimony to glorify the name of our God. One of our Nepalese Christian fellowship church leaders and pastor prayed for healing for one of their church members family. Now this person's family is at Nepal. So when his family member was healed, they offered 2 bags of 10kg rice to the church with a grateful and thanksgiving heart. You see, just as simple as this. Are we still practising this biblical act in this modernized age? Are we still coming to God to give thanks for the miracles, blessings,  every answered prayers just as this one leper? Or we just want to give thanks when only good things happens? Or when we have received what we want from God, we totally forget about God? Or we are just wanting to seek His hands and not His face? When you seek His face, you shall see His unexplainable glory upon your life. Let's make it simple...hope you understand it...

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
