The perfect denial......

Mark 14:30, 51-52 NKJV

Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” Now a certain young man followed Him, having a linen cloth thrown around his naked body. And the young men laid hold of him, and he left the linen cloth and fled from them naked.

Shalom!  Day #306. Do you know that many of us, in one way or another have denied Jesus when persecution comes? Let's pray. Father, forgive us for our actions and attitude. Forgive us for denying Your power in the midst of persecution. Give us the boldness and courage to stand strong and to stand for what we believe. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

How many times have we denied Jesus?  An important question we must ask ourselves. You may ask how? You may say I haven't deny Jesus. But do you know that in our actions we do deny Jesus. In our speech we deny Jesus. In our daily walk we deny Jesus. Sometimes, in the midst of the crowd we too deny Jesus. Even attending a party, people may ask us to drink, at that point we even deny Jesus.  I have to admit it, I have done it before, and I regret it. Peter denied that he know Jesus,  then he repented,  and God used him mightily.

We deny Jesus when persecution comes. We ran away from Him because we aren't ready to stand for Him. This young men ran nakedly. We are like him. When people persecute our faith, we try to play safe and we tend to deny and escape. Oh what have become! Are we in that kind of a condition today? Am speaking to anybody today? If you deny Jesus in front of everyone, He will deny us in the presence of God.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
