A Generation that came before God....!

Nehemiah 9:32-34 NKJV

“Now therefore, our God, The great, the mighty, and awesome God, Who keeps covenant and mercy: Do not let all the trouble seem small before You That has come upon us, Our kings and our princes, Our priests and our prophets, Our fathers and on all Your people, From the days of the kings of Assyria until this day. However You are just in all that has befallen us; For You have dealt faithfully, But we have done wickedly. Neither our kings nor our princes, Our priests nor our fathers, Have kept Your law, Nor heeded Your commandments and Your testimonies, With which You testified against them.

Shalom! Day #195. Do you know that there's a need in this generation to confess their sins as well as their forefathers? Let's pray. Father, as we turn back to You in repentance and confess all of our sins, Lord that You would come and heal us. Forgive us and our forefathers for we have walked wickedly before You. Come and have Your ways in our lives and in this generation. Thank You Lord. In Jesus name we ask and pray, Amen!

The sins of our forefathers, the generational curse may be upon us, if we never deal with it. Many in the past walked the way our forefathers did. They knew the Truth yet walked wickedly before God.  Practising sooth saying, witchcraft, living adultery and many more. If we do not deal with it, than it can be a snare unto us, a curse and it will flow through the generations to come. For example, if there's divorce cases in your family lineage, then that's a curse. If you never deal with it, it can harm you and your married life. You may think it's nothing, but let me tell you something, it can do the worst harm you can ever imagine. It will steal, kill and destroy you totally. Not only that, maybe there was in your family who consulted  witch doctor's, consumed alcohols, unknowingly they are already robbing you, killing you and destroying you little by little.

In today's verse, we see that Nehemiah's generation came in repentance before God and the turned back from all their wicked ways and be restored to God once again. They repented for their sins and the sins of their forefathers. Yet God was faithful and merciful to forgive them. "However You are just in all that has befallen us; For You have dealt faithfully, But we have done wickedly. Neither our kings nor our princes, Our priests nor our fathers, Have kept Your law, Nor heeded Your commandments and Your testimonies, With which You testified against them." God is faithful and just to forgive our sins if we confess it wholeheartedly before God and return to Him and be restored. You may not be aware of this, try asking your parents or grandparents about it and see to it that you confess and repent and break the generational curse.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
