Producing good and quality leaders and workers...!

II Chronicles 17:3-10 NKJV

Now the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the former ways of his father David; he did not seek the Baals, but sought the God of his father, and walked in His commandments and not according to the acts of Israel. Therefore the Lord established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah gave presents to Jehoshaphat, and he had riches and honor in abundance. And his heart took delight in the ways of the Lord ; moreover he removed the high places and wooden images from Judah. Also in the third year of his reign he sent his leaders, Ben-Hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah. And with them he  sent Levites: Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tobadonijah—the Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, the priests. So they taught in Judah, and had the Book of the Law of the Lord with them; they went throughout all the cities of Judah and taught the people. And the fear of the Lord fell on all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, so that they did not make war against Jehoshaphat.

Shalom! Day #183. Do you know that as being a spiritual leader it is important we continue to teach and preach and equip and send people that they too may continue in the good work of the Lord? Let's pray. Father, as Isaiah said, "here I am, send me," therefore Lord, use us, send us to do Your will and accomplish Your purposes for our lives. Create a teachable heart in us that we may learn to do Your ministry according to Your ways. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Being a spiritual leader, example a pastor, elders, church leader, we must continue to make sure that there's continuous training and building-up of new workers and servants of God. For example,  apostle Paul trained Timothy and Timothy has proven himself to Paul in the works of the ministry. We must have our "Timothys" as well. We must equip the newer line-up of leadership to take on the challenge and prove themselves in the ministry.

In today's verse we can see how Jehoshaphat, trained his leaders.  Because Jehoshaphat walk in the ways of the Lord, so he make sure that his line up of leaderships do the same. It is written that Jehoshaphat took delight in the ways of the Lord. Are we delighting in the ways of the Lord or we are feeling that we are being forced into walking in the ways of the Lord? And because of what Jehoshaphat did, the fear of the Lord fell on all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, so that they did not make war against Jehoshaphat. We must train up good quality leaders and not leaders for namesake.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
