A time to fast and pray...!

Ezra 8:21-23 NKJV

Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions. For I was ashamed to request of the king an escort of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the road, because we had spoken to the king, saying, “The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are  against all those who forsake Him.” So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer.

Shalom! Day #190. Do you know that everything begins with a prayer and ends with a prayer? Let's pray. Father, as we begin this day, we want to begin by giving thanks to You for all the things You have for us today. We want to thank You for all the miracles You going to do today. Into Your hands we commit this day in prayer. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

How's our prayer life today? There's a verse in the bible which says "this kind of thing only can be done through prayer and fasting." One thing I practice before every revival meetings I organize is to take time to fast and pray, because I want to see God to do an extraordinary work during the revival meetings and also an extraordinary outpouring of His spirit upon all who comes for the meeting. True enough, every time I do that I witnessed God's power and glory. Yes, folks,  it's important that we take time to fast and pray. Prayer alone is good, but to see more greater works and miracles,  it is advised to fast and pray.

James spoke about prayer. He said, "Elijah was a normal man just like us, but the difference is He is a prayerful man and when he prayed fire came down." "The prayers of a righteous man avails much and has power." Fasting and prayer with praise and worship is a powerful weapon, use it freely and wisely. Prayer is our 2 way communication to God, so pray daily and every time you have the opportunity. So begin to fast and pray if you want to see great and mighty works of God in your life and ministry as well.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
