Be an example...!

Job 4:3-6 NKJV

Surely you have instructed many, And you have strengthened weak hands. Your words have upheld him who was stumbling, And you have strengthened the feeble knees; But now it comes upon you, and you are weary; It touches you, and you are troubled. Is not your reverence your confidence? And the integrity of your ways your hope?

Shalom! Day #199. Do you know that many of us are good in encouraging people who are going through difficult times,  but when it comes to us, we are shaken to the core? Let's pray. Father, let us not be weary when trouble comes, but continue to hope and trust in You knowing that You are the Author and the Perfector of our faith. Holy Spirit help us to continue to focus our eyes upon You, Lord. In Jesus name we ask and pray, Amen!

There are people who are so good in encouraging others just like a pro, but when it touches them, they began to be so stressful, disoriented, disappointed, angry, lost their hope and many more. The bible say we must practice what we preach. If we say to others that you must not steal, we must make sure that we also follow and live as an example to them. I found this in manu leaders especially, they say one thing and expect the followers to abide, obey and do, but they themselves not practising it. This is a common thing amongst the political leaders and now it's become a common thing amongst the church leaders as well. They preach, O we must do this and this, we must do that and that, we must get up early to pray, we must have faith in God, and they don't really practice it but expects the church to follow it.

In today's verse,  this is what Job is going through. Many servants of God needs some boost of encouragement from the congregation as well. They are just humans like us. Yes at times they are shaken too. It's not about how we remind them about what they preached, but to stand and encourage them. Sometimes yes, we need remind them so that they do not fall into the enemies trap. Be a man of your word. Is not your reverence your confidence? And the integrity of your ways your hope? Let your eyes be focused on Jesus alone.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
