So he prospered...!

II Chronicles 31:8-10, 21 NKJV

And when Hezekiah and the leaders came and saw the heaps, they blessed the Lord and His people Israel. Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps. And Azariah the chief priest, from the house of Zadok, answered him and said, “Since the  people began to bring the offerings into the house of the Lord , we have had enough to eat and have plenty left, for the Lord has blessed His people; and what is left is this great abundance.” And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered.

Shalom! Day #188. Do you know that blessings and abundance comes from God,  when you start to trust in God and begin to bring your first fruits to the house of God? Let's pray. Father, we know that You are the Lord that gives in abundance to us and that You do not withhold anything good from us. But God, many times we have withhold in giving our best to You, forgive us Lord. Teach us to give cheerfully. Thank You Lord. In Jesus name we ask and pray, Amen!

I realize one thing. When i begin to set the house of God in order, I start to see blessings in abundance are filling the house of God. Many times I've witnessed this. Hezekiah did the same thing. He opened the house of God and set in order everything that's in the house of God. At first the was able to offer a small amount of sacrifice.  But as they obediently offered the sacrifice not looking whether it's in a small or big amount, God blessed them in abundance because of their obedience.

First fruits, well what is it?

1. It can be your time with God. Your need to set apart a tenth of your time to God. Seeking Him not just in your morning devotions, but at every time.

2. It can be your earnings. We must give a tenth of our tithes to the house of God. It's not because God is poor, but it's to teach us that God is able to bless and supply our every needs.

There's a few more that you can give to God,  such as your God given talents and giftings. You can use it to serve God and to give Him your utmost for His highest.  Blessings begins to flow when you've set your heart right before God. God will provide all that you need. You must give cheerfully and not being forced to give. Give wholeheartedly to God and you shall see the mighty works of God in your life. And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered.

Luke 6:38 NKJV

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

II Corinthians 9:6-8 NKJV

But this I  say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So  let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
