In Christ alone...!

Psalms 4:1, 7-8 NKJV

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord , make me dwell in safety.

Shalom! Day #213. Do you know that people who trust in the Lord, they will always have the assurance that they are safe and secured in the Lord's hands? Let's pray! Father, Your word says that when we call upon Your name, You will answer us and show us great and mighty things. Therefore Lord, we call upon Your name, hear us Lord. Thank You for the assurance You gave us, that we can trust You and Your word. You are our strong fortress, and we are safe and secured in You. In Jesus name we ask and pray, amen!

Security, many people are looking for security. Not security guards, but a place where they feel that they are absolutely safe and secured. There's no greater joy, than knowing that the Lord is always with you and that He never leaves you nor forsakes you. In Him there's perfect peace, there's security,  hope and assurance. People are looking for security in the worldly materials, position, status, money, yet they fail to see and comprehend that only in Christ alone there's all they need. You may gain the whole world, yet at the end of the day do you feel that you are safe?

In today's verse we see that David wrote this Psalms with a distress and disturbed heart, yet with full of assurance he says, "You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord , make me dwell in safety." His son, Absalom or in Hebrew "Avshalom " meaning the Father of peace,  was after David and David was running away from him. In the midst of distress David is sure that in Christ alone is his perfect peace, in Christ alone he is safe and secured, and in Christ alone he shall see victory. The worldly materials will not give you a permanent or eternal security. Do not lean on those things such as money, position, status, properties, all this will fade away, but the assurance of God last forever. Are you today running away from many things, problems? Now is the time for you to stand and face it like a man, for the Lord God is with you.

Let this day be the day of the Lord!
